Re: After Midnight (CBS) - Host: Taylor Tomlinson

I've only seen clips of this and what I've seen is amusing but seems to be a waste of Taylor's talents. Does watching the whole show give a better impression?

Re: What's your Unpopular Music Opinion?

Dave Matthews Band is a group I don't go out of my to listen to, but if it's on I usually enjoy it.

I once found a DVD of some of their videos at a thrift store and bought it on a lark. We put it...

Re: Suggestions wanted for unloading anime DVDs

The eBay app itself will do this but you have to filter the results each time to find the completed listings to get a good gauge of the price.

Re: Deadpool & Wolverine (2024, D: Levy) - S: Reynolds, Jackman

No, it's all Blu/4K and have slipcovers so that they look like a series.

That was my first instinct but I got some super 4K version of Deadpool 2 with a pretty specific case and figured this...

Re: Suggestions wanted for unloading anime DVDs

FaceBook Marketplace is also a decent place to sell stuff. My wife uses it fairly often.

Re: Deadpool & Wolverine (2024, D: Levy) - S: Reynolds, Jackman

Fun story: I don't insist that every single title I buy has a slipcover, but when I start a series with slipcovers, I want everything in that series to have them.

So all my X-Men film series...

Thanks, I've seen mention of that TVA elsewhere. It always throws me off because I think it's the Tennessee Valley Authority.

Re: Deadpool & Wolverine (2024, D: Levy) - S: Reynolds, Jackman

OK, I love the feel of this, but now it feels like I'll need to catch up on the MCU. We kinda gave up around the time of Inifinity War and my preferred timeline was the Fox X-Men series.

What are...

Re: UHD release announcements

Re: Blu-ray and DVD sales - We're number 2, but we try harder

All the Target locations around me have way much more music than movies. There's always tons of Taylor Swift CDs and vinyls.

Re: Transformers One - animated prequel (2024, D: Cooley)

It looks good, at least.

Does it really need that much humor?

Re: Blu-ray and DVD sales - We're number 2, but we try harder

I can see the corporate heads making a sweeping decision based on a macro view of product sales, not taking into account local demographic trends, yes absolutely. It’s what happened to Kmart.

Re: Blu-ray and DVD sales - We're number 2, but we try harder

I know retail chains are capable of really dumb decisions but there's still a demand for physical media and there are fewer brick and mortar places that sell it. I can't imagine that there aren't...

Re: Bonus material - Waste of time or do you like knowing more about the movie?

I don't get a lot of time to watch them but I'm glad to have them, especially the Star Wars documentaries. The one for Episode 1 (The Beginning) is really fricking good as is the one that was in the...

Re: The Criterion Collection 4K/Blu-ray Discussion and Release Thread

While the extras are a draw, the big appeal with Criterion and any boutique label is the title itself. What other label is going to focus on directors like Godard or Truffeau ?

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (2024)

I'm always torn on these things because I know there's been dedicated VAs doing the voices for the anime/games for years that have done a lot of work in establishing the character in the fandom, but...

Re: The Criterion Collection 4K/Blu-ray Discussion and Release Thread

I have never heard of anyone speaking of Risky Business as any kind of high art film of any kind, only the iconic look of Cruise and the sunglasses.

Re: The Criterion Collection 4K/Blu-ray Discussion and Release Thread

Nothing jumping out at me right away.
Is the next sale still projected for June? I still have some older titles to grab.

Re: Target buy-2-get-1-free mega-thread

Got the new Lost in Space and the two Star Trek Prodigy Blu-ray’s.

Also had a $10 off $50 coupon I don’t know where it came from and then the 5% for my Redcard.

Re: Star Trek: Lower Decks (Now on Paramount +)

What the hell. This could have gone on for years and brought us into the Romulan supernova event.

I've said it for years, but there's no IP holder that hates their own stuff like Paramount hates...

Re: Cameron Talks Avatar Redux, 3D, Titanic, Abyss/True Lies Blu-ray

I got an alert from the Target app that they have The Abyss in stock, 24.99.

I got mine from Orbit already but I know folks are still looking.

Re: Star Trek: Discovery (Paramount +) -- The 5th and Final season

They could have possibly filmed a couple snippets to slip into other eps, but what I saw was that Paramount gave them money to film a new ending to the last episode, so I figured that was the only...

Re: Amazon Fresh stores abandon cashier-less, walk out system

I guess I was thinking they were one and the same... :hscratch:

They put in one near us and when we go in to return Amazon orders, the stores are always fully staffed but there's usually only...
