Re: Madame Web (2024, D: Clarkson) S: Dakota Johnson

This was apparently put out on VOD today with no advance notice.

Re: Star Wars Battlefront II... it's happening, not that you ever doubted it

I don't know if it's specific to PC release but apparently the collection requires almost 10x the amount of storage space to download compared to downloading the two games separately. For reasons...

Re: Civil War (2024, D: Garland) S: Dunst, Spaeny, Moura

LOL at the last line. I'm sure folks who would like to see a real war break out will come to their senses after watching this fictional movie!

Re: Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024, D: Wingard)

I love this series, including the Apple TV show. Dumb fun all around although Skull Island is still the best film out of them all.

Re: Tokyo Vice (Max) -- S: Ken Watanabe, Ansel Elgort -- premieres 4/7/22

I've been binging the Yakuza games recently and I feel I should start this show now. Sounds like something I'd enjoy.

Re: Star Wars Battlefront II... it's happening, not that you ever doubted it

Also, the Collection that just came out is apparently filled with bugs and server issues right now. For PC at least. FYI if you end up buying it.

Re: Star Wars Battlefront II... it's happening, not that you ever doubted it

They are large scale multiplayer games. If they have single player content, it's not the focus.

Re: What "The Punisher" movie is my sister referring to in her 1988 journal?

Yeah, stuff like that sticks to memory. I remember clearly seeing T2 for the first time at a friend's bday party.

Re: What "The Punisher" movie is my sister referring to in her 1988 journal?

The timing may be wrong? From what I can tell, Nightmare 3 didn't hit home video to rent until April of 88.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

Pretty expensive but nice to see a physical come out that isn't an even more expensive import. I bought it on Switch a long while back when it was on sale digitally. Great games to replay.

Re: What games are you looking forward to the rest of 2024?

Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes. I was one of their first backers on KS and I've been impatiently waiting for its release ever since.

Re: Marlowe (2023, D: Neil Jordan) - S: Liam Neeson, Diane Kruger, Jessica Lange

Tried to watch this last night with the wife and we had to turn it off about half way through. She was falling asleep and I was bored to tears. Too bad since it's one of my favorite genre and had a...

Re: Dragon Ball Creator Akira Toriyama Dies at 68

I shed a few tears when I saw the news last night. Between DBZ and DQ, his art was my whole childhood.

Re: Baldur's Gate III (PC, PS5, XSS, XSX)

Did you not even take a minute to see what type of game it is before downloading 100+ gb? The simplest of searches would have told you it was a D&D turn based strategy game.

Re: South Park : Snow Day! (Co-Op 3D Game) - 2024 (PC, PS5, XSX/S)

Looks like it could be a ton of fun for fans of the series.

Re: Spider-Man 2 (PS5) - 10/20/23

Being able to change the time of day is huge. Not nearly enough opportunity to swing around the city at night.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Go to the Destiny 2 page, which shows the base game as Free. Go to Add-Ons then find Witch Queen. It's listed as free via PSN+ for me.

Re: Death and Other Details (Hulu) - S: Mandy Patinkin

Ending was pretty bad, IMO. The twist was OK but most of what happened in the last episode was a mess.
If the mother originally was just trying to disappear to survive, how did the name Victor come...

Re: How old will you be when you give up gaming?

43 here as well. As long as my hands and mind continue to work, I will continue to play games.

Re: Death and Other Details (Hulu) - S: Mandy Patinkin

Haven't watched the final episode yet but I kinda saw the twist from episode 9 coming.
Far too many mentions of Sanz being a man during the show. They went out of their way to say man/he/his to the...

Re: Baldur's Gate III (PC, PS5, XSS, XSX)

The game doesn't do the best job of explaining all its systems. It simple in concept, turn based strategy game but all the D&D rules/spells/etc can make it more challenging than it would be with...

Re: Tracker (CBS) -- S: Justin Hartley -- Based on the book series by Jeffery Deaver -- Premieres 2/11/24

I'll stick with it until the eventual drop in writing quality which more often than not happens with these shows after their first year.

Re: The VR Gaming Thread (Meta Quest, Vive, PSVR)

I got an email saying my account was being deleted but I've never owned a headset. No idea when or why I created an Oculus account in the first place.

Re: Death and Other Details (Hulu) - S: Mandy Patinkin

This week's episode certainly answered a lot of questions. Looking like this one may actually have an interesting ending.

Re: What are you playing? (March 2024)

Infinite Wealth for the foreseeable future. Just unlocked Animal Crossing and am also addicted to Pokemon. The actual RPG in the game is pretty damn good, too!
