Subwoofer Debate

I am currently looking to buy a new subwoofer.
I was thinking about getting the Sony SA-WM40, I was going to pick it up for about 160.00 with tax and shipping.

I went to several different sites most of them had it for around $170 to $190. But they don't say if thier a set or sold by itself.
