Re: Kino Lorber & KL Studio Classics sales, discounts, and deals

Mine shipped a little faster and I'm supposed to get it tomorrow but they did seem slammed with orders.

Re: Shout / Scream Factory Blu-ray Sales

I really enjoyed those Universal Horror Blu-ray sets and $34.99 is a much more reasonable price. Some very good commentaries on many of them.

Re: Warner Archive Sales

With shipping for me it works out to $13.75 a movie. Just not a good enough deal after I spent money on Criterion's flash sale. I'll wait and see if Amazon drops below $12 eventually for the few old...

Re: CRITERION FLASH SALE Starting MARCH 21, 2023 Noon ET for 24 HRS

The free shipping requirement went up to $75. Yikes. I had $40 in certificates to use up anyway.

I grabbed:
Shaft 4K
The Incredible Shrinking Man
War of the Worlds (Mars is Red?)
My Darling...

Re: Warner Archive Sales

Figured I would give this retailer a try. I had a few Warners that hadn't broken the $14 mark on Amazon I wanted including the one Thin Man Blu-ray I needed.
I picked up Mystery of the Wax Musuem,...

Re: Official MST3K / Rifftrax / Cinematic Titanic DVD Thread

Awesome. Thanks for confirming. I added it today.

For anyone familiar with the app Vimeo designed for the Criterion Channel it uses the same layout. Wondering how the events will work when those...

Re: How often do you watch Netflix for shows and movies?

I watched Murderville this weekend and that was the first time I have used Netflix in six months. It has gone out of regular rotation. I will renew it for a month every six to nine months to watch...

Re: DVD Rot ?

Verified my Critic set and all three discs have errors and about eight of the episodes can't be watched. Also, checked my Mel Brooks Blu-ray set and Young Frankenstein freezes and skips half way...

Re: DVD Rot ?

I still have hundreds of DVD to go through so I'm sure I will find stuff from other companies. I did just go through my 14 movie Universal Hitchcock DVD set and all were good so I lucked out on that....

Re: Criterion - disc rot/'bronzing'

They asked for front side picture with name and the date written on it in sharpie. I guess making sure you are serious about replacing it and a picture of the shiny side. I don't know that they...

Re: DVD Rot ?

I've just gone through a large portion of my collection ripping discs to Plex to make watching easier and have confirmed with MakeMKV and testing in a real player that I have a huge number of...

Re: Criterion - disc rot/'bronzing'

Bringing this thread back from the dead to remind people that Criterion still replaces these. I never dealt with this issue and finally went back through all my potential discs. Only Walkabout and M...

re: Kino Lorber & KL Studio Classics sales, discounts, and deals

I had quite a few on my wishlist on sale. Was surprised the Universal blu-rays that just released were already on sale. Picked up the last two 3-D titles from Kino I was missing. Many of the previous...

re: Barnes & Noble 50% off Criterions! (11/1/16 - 11/28/16)

Was able to combine the discount with a 20% coupon the cashier had to get the Zatoichi set for $71.99. Also grabbed The Kid. That was pretty much my budget for this sale but still want Cat People and...

Re: What streaming services have you canceled?

It seems that Hulu and Netflix are the only two I can stick with. I also have Amazon Prime, but that is more for the music streaming and free shipping.

Did Warner Archive for a year, but the...

Re: Netflix - News & Discussion

There is an occasional must watch like Longmire or Daredevil, but I don't watch most of their original series and find myself watching Hulu more and Netflix less. I will probably drop down to the...

Re: Warner Archive Instant coming to Roku

October had a surprising number of movies added. 4 or 5 times more than previous months. There may be hope for this service yet. Also some movies I actually wanted to watch and most in HD. The...

Re: Amazon Fire TV Stick

I picked one up. Nothing can replace the Roku 3, but this will work great for a bedroom device. No Vudu, HBOgo and Warner Archive is a bummer but hopefully they get added.

Re: Warner Archive sales

BDs were there but the sale wasn't working. They fixed the sale, but pulled the BDs and Show Boat so I will pass. Nothing else I really want to pay $10 a disc for.

Re: How much do you spend on streaming services?

WWE $9.99
Netflix $7.99
Warner Archive $6.37 (bought a year with 10% off comicon coupon)

I had two months of Hulu Plus free with my Roku and will probably continue it for a bit with the new TV...

Re: Warner Archive Instant coming to Roku

With the extra 10% off comiccon code the value for the year pass was a bit better, but the selection still has the same issues as the last time I tried the service. I'm finding enough to watch to be...
