Re: Is a movie earning one billion dollars at the box office still considered a major achievement?

re: "Making a Murderer" -- Netflix documentary series

I recommend this "rebuttal" to the series by Dan O'Donnell, a Milwaukee based reporter who covered and witnessed the entire trial. He even appears onscreen in the "documentary" at one point - he is...

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Sorry, I forgot about my request and just went to check. Unfortunately I didn't get the message.

But I'm using Josh-da-man's general use coupon.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I've been a member for years and, as usual, I didn't get an email. If you could spare a couple I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Thanks, Laser. I used the last four coupons, three of them on books. :) I didn't think they would still be unused. First time I have ever used the coupons you posted because I always assume they are...

I've tried watching Big Trouble in Little China three or four times because I always think I must have missed something with all the praise it gets. Sorry, I still think it...

Re: RIP James Rebhorn

I knew his name. Whenever I saw him come on screen I knew it would be a pitch perfect performance. I also thought he was a lot older. I'm older than he was and I am now shocked to learn that. So many...

Re: Best and Worst Final Seasons

Perhaps the best example of all. Its downward spiral began well before the last season but it sure went from great to garbage.

Re: Woody Allen's Blue Jasmine

Easily one of Woody's best and Cate Blanchett is a lock for a nomination and has turned in the best female lead performance to date this year IMO. She should be hard to beat.

After a mid-career...

Re: Jim Caviezel- 'Rejected By My Own Industry' For 'Passion Of The Christ'

I think from a purely cinematic point of view it's a very bad film. I gave my reasons nine years ago and see no reason to rehash a film that, while it was an admitted cultural phenomenon, got about...

Re: Seen any iranian movies?

The only one I've seen is A Separation. I think it's superb and the best foreign language film I've seen since Pan's Labyrinth and The Lives of Others in 2006.

Re: Favorite Guillermo del Toro film?
