Re: Once Upon a Time (S4E01) -- Season Premiere -- "A Tale of Two Sisters" -- 9/28/14

Didn't see Frozen, and was getting bored by the show last season. Might be time to stop watching.

Re: Sons of Anarchy (S7E04) -- "Poor Little Lambs" -- 9/30/14

There was a 9-year old girl who covered in on AGT last season. You probably would've liked that one. :)

Re: The Clint Eastwood Appreciation Thread.

Clint Eastwood is my all-time favorite actor. I've also enjoyed most of his work as a director, although I do think he was a better director in the 70s and 80s. His films aren't as much fun as they...

re: SNL Season 40 discussion (premieres 9/27/2014)

I guess a supporting role in a sitcom pays more than SNL.

Re: Married with Children, Bud Bundy spin-off/reboot coming

Remember the lingerie episode where some old man was wearing ladies' underwear, and the entire world exploded and everyone upon it died?
25+ years later, it seems more quaint than shocking.

Re: The Leftovers (S1E10) -- Season Finale -- "The Prodigal Son Returns" -- 9/07/14

Ah, it's finally over. I hope-watched for the first half of the season, then hate-watched the last few episodes.
I think the entire season sucked, from beginning to end. Nothing stood out as...

Re: Stuff Your Mom Likes!

My mother liked old horror movies. She made me watch Night of the Living Dead when I was 7 or 8.

Re: The Greatest American Hero -- Pilot ordered at FOX -- From Phil Lord & Chris Mill

LOVED the show, and the theme song still has life on my ipod. I will definitely try this out, as long as they try for the charm of the original.

Re: Lauren Bacall dead at 89.

Lauren Bacall was so beautiful in To Have and Have Not that it actually hurts to watch her.

Re: What was the longest turnaround for you to watch a recorded TV show on your DVR?

I've got several movies that have been waiting 4-5 months.

As for TV shows, I've got a couple that are a few episodes behind.

Re: Your favorite Robin Williams movie?

Garp is one of my favorite comedies, just brilliant all the way through.

I do think his movie career was more miss than hit.

Re: America's Got Talent -- Season Nine Thread -- (Stern, Mandel, Klum, Scary Spice)

I'm glad the swinging animation chick got through. I love those types of acts.

And Stern was definitely correct about that rollerblading dancer guy. He was even right about the phony loud...

Re: The Big Bang Theory - Season Finale - "The Status Quo Combustion" - 5/15/14

They'll get their raises, the show is one of the most successful sitcoms on TV. I'm a little surprised that Nayyar only makes 75K an episode.

And let's face reality, after the show ends, this...

Re: VHS recordings of TV shows

I've got a ton of old VHS tapes of movies and TV shows. I have all of The Sopranos on tape.
I still have a VCR/DVD combo, so I can't bear to throw them out yet, even though I haven't used it in a...

re: Ghostbusters III (D: Feig, S: Bullock, McCarthy, Wilson)

With Ramis gone, my interest level has gone way down.

Did I read somewhere that the aliens comedy that David Duchovny did several years ago was supposed to be Ghostbusters 3, or was that just...

Re: Long-Running shows that you've watched every single episode through good, bad, &

When Roseanne first started, it was amazing. After 5 seasons, it started going downhill. Season 8 was not good at all, and season 9 was the worst you can imagine.

Re: "The Hateful Eight" (D: Tarantino)

Django Unchained has been on Showtime pretty much daily for the last several weeks, so I've watched all or part of it quite a bit lately. The more I watch it, the more I realize what a terrific...

Re: Sharknado 2: The Second One (SyFy) - 7/30/14

Totally ridiculous, but still fun.

I love how it's supposedly one of the biggest storms ever, but while half of Manhattan is being flooded and destroyed, nobody seems to be evacuating and there...
