I've had ugly, splotchy, oily-looking residue left on a bunch of DVD's that I had stored in one of those CD carry cases.
The discs played fine but the stains were bad and couldn't be removed.

I have to say that RE-ANIMATOR plays so well on the big screen! I saw a theatrical print a few years ago that was near immaculate so, at least, you know you can get one.
