For me it typically takes any where from instant to 5 minutes for an hd movie to start.

There is a BIG difference between cable and apple TV. Yes Apple TV is not Bluray, but it is a LOT better than cable.

Donk know the ratio(it is widescreen though), but it is $4 not $6

People Complain aboput downloads, but this is one reason i am for them (I also love blu ray too). there are so many HD titles on my apple TV that have yet to reach Blu ray, this being a biggie.

In an recent consume reports, it states that most LCD tv's have a lifespan of 10 years given average use.
