Re: The Official METAL! Thread- Metalcore, Thrash, Progressive, Death, and MORE

I’m really digging the band Labyrinthus Stellarum. Imagine Darkspace if they played a more melodic deep space black metal.

Re: Fallout 4

I would play the game first since a lot in the series is based on things in the game. It might help you understand the series a little more.

Re: The Official METAL! Thread- Metalcore, Thrash, Progressive, Death, and MORE

The whole Goregrind subgengre became less about the music and more about the album covers.

As for Napalm Death (and grindcore in general), lyrically they are 100% influenced by the hardcore scene.

Finally got the new Witch Vomit. Pretty good DM release, but nothing that treads new ground (I even think the last album sounded heavier, but still good nonetheless).

Re: Last BD (or, unrealistically, HD DVD) you watched?

Watched the 4K of Contagion this weekend. Didn’t have the same effect as it did in 2020, but still enjoyable.

Re: Stephen King’s Salem’s Lot (2024, D: Dauberman)

Well, that doesn’t give me much hope…

I loved the original but hated the remake, so we will see what happens with this one.

Re: The Official METAL! Thread- Metalcore, Thrash, Progressive, Death, and MORE

They don’t even have Last Days of Humanity listed, but other bands like them are there.

Re: The Official METAL! Thread- Metalcore, Thrash, Progressive, Death, and MORE

Love me some funeral doom.

Ever watch those videos where people take the distortion out of black metal music and you end up with some pretty cool surf music?

Re: The VINYL Thread!

I hate soundtracks that include dialogue from the movie. Just give me the music.

Re: The Official METAL! Thread- Metalcore, Thrash, Progressive, Death, and MORE

It’s like the difference between Municipal Waste and Iron Reagan. One is thrash and the other is “crossover punk”, whatever that means. To me they sound similar.

Re: The Official METAL! Thread- Metalcore, Thrash, Progressive, Death, and MORE

Think Panzer Division Marduk from Marduk. Unrelenting blast beats and double bass, harsh vocals, and a raw guitar tone.
