I was under the impression that IMAX films couldn't be presented in widescreen without either cropping the image or severe distortion along the edges. Or was the movie not actually shot in IMAX?

The article doesn't mention it, so I feel I should point out that these are scheduled for release in the UK only. They may not be R2 encoded but they'd definitely be in PAL format. U.S. versions...
