Thoughts on DVD logos and menus being louder than the actual movie?

For me, I hate it when DVD companies do this. I do not need to turn the dang volume down and back up EVERY time I watch the movie...

No wonder certain people jumped during that logo. I don't like it when companies do such a thing.

I have very crazy memories about this logo. When I watched the first MGM DVD release of RoboCop, it scared me so much that I ran upstairs... real fast!!!

What are the worst DVD menus to wake up to?

For me its Wrong Turn and Hostel due to the sounds making me uncomfortable.

What is the scariest DVD menu in your opinion?

For me, it's the menu for the first Wrong Turn. That menu literally made me jump multiple times during each viewing. If you fall asleep to that DVD at night, you're going to regret it due to the jump...

That's one of the DVD menus I've woken up to with the menu blasting a collection of motorcycle sounds over and over.

I've been falling asleep to DVDs recently and the ones I've watched was X2 and Hostel. X2 had these annoying sound effects on repeat, and while Hostel is also annoying, it's kinda creepy due to drill...
