Re: What's the stupidest reason you own a particular movie?

I will forever own the holy trilogy of my 8th Birthday Party: Spaceballs, Masters of the Universe and The Garbage Pail Kids.

Re: 7th Annual Criterion Challenge - Discussion Thread

I started the challenge off last night with The Harder They Come. I dug it. About 10 minutes in I turned on the subtitles. It was pretty crazy, kinda like flipping a switch in my brain. With the...

Re: 7th Annual Criterion Challenge - Discussion Thread

My goal for this challenge (outside of completing the list) is to participate in the discussion more. I've got three little ones that keep me busy as well but I'm going to try to be more involved...

Re: 6th Annual Criterion Challenge - Discussion Thread

I watched it when Criterion first released it. I had never seen it p until that point. However I had the image of Melanie Griffith on the cover burned into my brain from an young age. I remember...

Re: 6th Annual Criterion Challenge - Discussion Thread

Excellent. The last two times I tried to post it wouldn't work after I had typed a bunch out. So I am planning on getting a twofer out of this challenge. I am tailoring my list as a master clas in...

Re: 5th Annual Criterion Challenge - Discussion Thread

I started off the challenge by completely ignoring my list. The wife was up and in the mood to watch something so I threw in For All Mankind. I dug it quite a bit. I thought it was intresting the...

Re: 5th Annual Criterion Challenge - Discussion Thread

The...

Re: 5th Annual Criterion Challenge - Discussion Thread

I can only speak for myself, of course, but I've found in previous years that the spine number range check marks have driven me to make selections I probably wouldn't have made otherwise. Case in...
