Seems to be somewhat of an epidemic of late. Alias Complete Series has the same issue, from what I can tell at least some discs of Six Feet Under CS are affected......

West Wing Complete Series Packaging

Curious, from the pictures I've seen of the packaging, it looks like the discs are shoved into cardboard sleeves, half a dozen discs per season into a "file folder" for each season.
