Re: "Late Night with the Devil" Reviews/Discussion - 2025 Horror Challenge

A failing TV talk show host decides to hold an on air exorcism to boost ratings. A solid film with a great concept.. I thought the acting was solid. I have definitely seen worse.

Re: "Hardware" Reviews/Discussion - 2025 Horror Challenge

I have always liked Richard Stanley and Hardware is typical Stanley. Interesting visuals, oddball characters, a bit incoherent at times, but a fun watch.

Re: "Calvaire" Reviews/Discussion - 2025 Horror Challenge

A French backwoods or hillybilly horror about a traveling entertainer who becomes a prisoner of a psycho. An odd film, particularly because for some reason thats never explained, the traveling...

Re: "The Black Cat" Reviews/Discussion - 2025 Horror Challenge

One of universal's finest films and certainly an explosive combination of Lugosi and Karloff. Probably their finest joint performance with Son of Frankenstein right there with The Black Cat.

Re: "The Dark Half" Reviews/Discussion - 2025 Horror Challenge

I think this is an under rated Romero film and I like Hutton's performance. I do think it overstays its welcome at 2 hours.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 21st Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

Hot take incoming : The Blair Witch Project is the most over rated horror film in history in my opinion. If I was to rate the marketing campaign Id give it a 10/10, but the film has little to no...

Re: "Amsterdamned" Reviews/Discussion - 2025 Horror Challenge

A unique slasher film set in Amsterdamn and featuring a novel idea of a killer in a swimsuite who uses a spear gun. A bit too long it drags at various times and the ending is anti-climatic.Apparently...

Re: "Army of Darkness" Reviews/Discussion - 2025 Horror Challenge

I think all three films are horror comedies. The first has dark comedy, the second transitions to straight comedy with some three stooge physical comedy and the third is a full blown slapstick...

Re: "The Loved Ones" Reviews/Discussion - 2025 Horror Challenge

An Australian film about a psychopath father and daughter who capture and torture a boy that spurned her invite to the high school dance. Brutal with definite Texas Chainsaw inspiration vibes.

Re: "Cruel Jaws" Reviews/Discussion - 2025 Horror Challenge

Good Ole Bruno Mattei is back and he is ripping off the original jaws. I guess the italians figured, hey, its 1995, who will remember specific plot and dialogue for the original? Or, most probably ,...

Re: "Nosferatu" Reviews/Discussion - 2025 Horror Challenge

Re: "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" Reviews/Discussion - 2025 Horror Challenge

Re: "When Evil Lurks" Reviews/Discussion - 2025 Horror Challenge

I think this film and Hereditary are the two modern horror masterpieces. 10/10. Both films are unnerving from start to finish and never let up.
