I probably would not agree with most of Tillerson's positions but one thing I'm certain of is that Tillerson is not dumb as a rock or lazy. You simply do not start at an entry level position like Tillerson did and work your way to a C level position of a public corporation without intelligence and drive.

There seems to be a consensus among the conservative ecosystem, that they should keep their head down and wait it out, and support Trump as-to not create a civil war within the GOP. I feel like 90% of the GOP has something to say, similar to Flake or McCain. But they stay quiet and/or support Trump for "the greater good".

Well yea. But go back to 2016 and half the GOP had similar things to say about Trump, while they laughed at the idea of a Trump Presidency.

I'm trying to think of a time when so many politicians (and citizens) have shed their morals and good judgement for such a shallow huckster. Do none of them think this could possibly put them on the wrong side of history?

I can only imagine the thought was that he'd "become presidential" once in office (no idea why they'd think that), and when they saw that he is what he is, it was too late to say "I think we made a horrible mistake".

This is what I find most infuriating. You can still be a Republican, you can still be conservative, you can still hate Hillary Clinton, and yet admit she'd have been a far better president than this clown. And focus on coming up with a good GOP candidate for 2020. Because you won't have one, that's a given now.

Well the country is filled with rubes that believe Trump no matter what, and he did say that if he won, he'd be so presidential that we'd all be bored.

Didn't the Mueller Investigation actually make money due to seized assets?

Propaganda in the White House Rose Garden...

Seriously if I was a reporter I wouldn't last a day covering the WH. I would walk out to the rose garden and just start laughing uncontrollably if I saw that sign stuck to the podium in front of that moron. How these reporters actually keep a straight face during these speeches is kind of remarkable.

And he's such a fucking baby! Seriously, calling a press conference just to refute a single comment from Pelosi...

The only transparent thing about him are his lies... and his hair.

And so much for another infrastructure week...

I get he has supporters, but what kind of thinking person sees shit like this and says "yeah, that's my guy!"

Trump just told Democrats he won't work with them until all investigations into him stop.

Is this fucking enough for Pelosi to start impeachment or does she think that another round of sarcastic claps will do the job?

Re: Official Trump Presidency Thread, Part 3

He does not look like a man who wants to be impeached.
Which means they need to impeach.

Very stable genius...

Seriously, what a fucking insecure little baby...

Now just imagine if they did start impeachment procedures.
Remember Clinton's "definition of 'is'"? And he was a slick motherfucker - now imagine trump giving a statement as to impeachment investigations... he'd fucking hang himself!

Dear Lord...does really not know (and has no
one around him) that saying “I won’t work on anything until you stop investigating me” is the very definition of a cover up.

Re: Official Trump Presidency Thread, Part 3

And obviously, the big baby had planned this insipid walk-out/presser in advance...

But yeah, he has no actual plan, except to lash out, so he has no actual leverage.
He seems scared to death of impeachment, not so much as it'll do anything to him, but that it'll leave a huge blotch on his presidency, which is yet another reason to go through with it.

Does it matter? He has no reason to fear any action at this point. Impeachment means nothing if it's not held up by the Senate, which it won't.

And even if he does get impeached, he'll go back to being a billionaire with a constant microphone between Twitter and Fox News for whatever he wants to say for the rest of his life. He's not "scared" of anything.

This broken record shit again?
It's not about senate conviction, it's about holding him accountable and having it go on his record (along with senators' records of not wanting to convict). I mean, do police not arrest people just because a jury might not convict?

Yeah he's scared of being viewed as a failure and a fraud, which will be his ultimate fate.
