Step back here and think about this. The president’s campaign manager met with Russian agents during the campaign in a New York cigar bar to discuss loosening sanctions and assistance in the election. Anyone still want to say no collusion?

I’m not a teacher and it still makes my blood boil that Douche Trump Jr. would stand up there and call teachers “losers”. Of course it doesn’t surprise that he gets it from his father who “loves the poorly educated”.

And the uneducated eat up his bullshit with a spoon.

Well Senate Republicans for one. It's too bad they don't have all branches of government anymore. They had the House cheer-leading for Trump and suppressing any real investigations. Now it's the Senate's turn to take up that mantle I guess.

DVDP has assured us multiple times that Mueller’s investigation has come up empty. Not a single whiff of collusion.

Until a month ago, I didn't realize how significant the mid-term elections were. Sure, Democrats got back only the House and still cannot make big changes, but just doing a proper job of oversight is like shining a bright light at this damn mess that Trump. McConnell and Ryan have been hiding for the last two years. No more. The GOP still has control for the next two years, but no longer can they mask the embarrassing shit they have dumped on us since 2016.

So he lies about the crime rate in El Paso, and lies about the bullet train in California...it’s almost like lying is a think he does.

And who who would be “anti-mass transit”. Seriously? Especially in California. Like sitting in traffic is a good thing?

This is the man who thinks “clean coal” is a real thing. So yeah, burning up gasoline bumper-to-bumper on the interestate is just the smell of ‘Merica.

Haha. I didn't even have to look it up to assume he was wrong.

Our accidental president is such a turd.

Not just Mueller's investigation, but the Senate Intelligence Committee as well. They looked incredibly hard at the back of their eyelids and they didn't find a single thing.

Re: Official Trump Presidency Thread, Part 3

Trump privately gripes that GOP was outplayed by Democrats

"I want to thank all Republicans for the work you have done in dealing with the Radical Left on Border Security," he tweeted on Tuesday.

But privately, Trump has cast the GOP's dealmaking efforts as inadequate and wondered why he, an experienced dealmaker, wasn't consulted at more regular intervals as the two sides haggled over an agreement. The White House acted largely on the sidelines while congressional negotiators struck a deal.

That was intentional, according to people familiar with the process, who noted Trump's attempts at brokering an agreement between lawmakers proved futile during the record-length government shutdown that ushered in the new year.

Perhaps they didn't consult him because they were interested in actually making a deal???

From looking at some of the fine details of the immigration bill, there isn't a team, and Republicans are actually going along with Democrat requests such as Asylum and giving cities the power to say no to any wall construction if they see fit.

Once again, and I predicted this a long time ago, BOTH parties don't want protection at the border. It's all a scam, just like being Green Dealers. Because both parties benefit off this chaos, criminality, and unwillingness to compromise. They love it. So does the media. The only people who suffer, are the voters.

I suppose we could go the route of Trump saying Republicans are just flat out fucktards and stupid (paraphrasing the latest cnn article about Republicans and their amazing qualities of being once again outplayed by Democrats), and I won't necessarily disagree with him, but these guys have been in DC way longer than Trump and they know all the back roads to stalling any kind of progression in society. Both parties don't want progression. They want a vulnerable society...so they can continually pass laws that make no sense but cost a shitload of money. Because a protected and solidified society won't need crisis management on a daily basis...which is just want our politicians want and the media advertises as much.

How does a wall help with that? Trump's favorite talking point about El Paso's safety post-wall has already been roundly disproven.

Re: Official Trump Presidency Thread, Part 3

Exactly. Have a wall does absolutely nothing. See El Paso. The Dems agreed to billions in overall border security. They want security.

But it there is no factual reason to talk walls at the border.

Cool cool cool. Good luck to the Repubs who try to stop a Dem from doing the same thing for healthcare. Oh who am I kidding? They blocked Garland and had no problems claiming that Dems were obstructing Trump's nominations.

God...what a lapdog. Mitch called Trump to get his assurance he would sign before they would put up a vote.

And he would have to support a NE. Sounds like that was a negotiation.

Thus begins a new era where presidents rule as dictators by declaring national emergencies. Have fun in 2024 when President AOC bans all guns with the wave of her hand.
