I have seen some comments that basically boil down to ďI donít care why weíre leaving Syria, Iím just glad weíre getting out.Ē Iíve seen a lot more responses like, ďIím anti-war but Iím questioning why Trump specifically is choosing to pull our forces out now.Ē I donít trust Trump to do anything for idealistic reasons or because he cares about the lives of our troops. I have a tough time wrapping my head around going to war on top of all the rest of this nonsense.
Hello again! I still worry Trump will resort to war if the tide turns against him enough.

Mea culpa. I was wrong.

Looks like Stone was significant enough to need the distraction. But gotta give T credit for gaming it in advance for future arrests/indictment unsealing, as we now have a 2/15 d-date for more oxygen sucking drama.

What did the president know, and when did he know it?- WaPo op ed
In short, Mueller has evidence suggesting that the highest levels of the Trump campaign were using Stone to intercede with WikiLeaks, with its known collaborations with Russia, to assist in release of dirt on the campaign’s opponents.

If Trump was directing campaign aides to intercede with Stone, and by extension, WikiLeaks, that “would plainly constitute another piece — a big one — in the mosaic of evidence showing that Trump was committing campaign-related crimes in coordination with Russia to rig the presidential election in his favor by knowingly weaponizing stolen information against his opponent,” says constitutional scholar Laurence Tribe. “That mosaic could certainly establish a high crime warranting Impeachment. But I still believe that an intense and public fact-finding process by the House, starting now, needs to precede any formal decision on impeachment, without which the essential public consensus favoring Trump’s removal won’t emerge.”

Wouldn't take much to amass them at the northern border. May be time for 'Operation Hey Ya Hoser'. Could be a win win.
True, but it's better when we can take it from 3rd world countries.

Venezuela? I could see us trying to support an anti Maduro government.

I wouldnít rule it out. Trumpís already made some noise about Venezuela and Iím sure there are plenty of people in the Pentagon who remember the glory days of Reagan and HW Bush toppling and replacing regimes in South America.

Well, Putin has interest in Venezuela, so the U.S. has to tread lightly.

Don't try to paint this as a one-party shitfest.

It's both of them.

Trump didn't gauge Pelosi. She's a lot tougher than she looks. Trump should have got funding for the wall two fucking years ago. He should have called a national emergency...instead of ranting and threatening to do it for a month. He needs to put more effort behind his fists than his mouth.

No. Trump didnít gauge what a moronic idea it was that not even throwing a temper tantrum would get it for him.

Of course mine actually are true.

Trump proudly proclaimed he would own the shutdown.
Trump proudly proclaimed last night that he would not cave and nothing would happen until he got his Wall money.
The government is reopening and Trump did not get any money for the Wall = Trump Caved.

If Trump tries to create a pretext for a large military attack, I think the most likely target is Iran. He pulled out of the nuclear deal and reimplemented sanctions. Soon there is going to be an anti-Iran conference in Warsaw.

Netanyahu tried to attack Iran several years ago, but he didn't have enough support within the Israeli government. Also, Obama didn't want to get pulled into a war.

Iran , Venezuela, and NK are Russian client states. Any drama with them is wholly manufactured to steer media attention away from something else.

Those don't even make any sense.

What law is Pelosi afraid of? The ones that allowed her to make Trump her bitch, so he caved on his demand for the wall?

Cortez can't run for Prez this time around, she's too young. She'll have to spend a few years in the House actually making American lives better for awhile. That sucks, right?

Walls for Pelosi but no wall for border? Seriously? Maybe we should be worrying more about people who overstay their visas. But no, that's too...logical and based on reality.
