I honestly thought that was mostly a forum joke.

Welcome to the forum, Mrs. Clinton!

(Though I do acknowledge that she probably has young cool kids on her staff who wrote that.)

While I’m sure she is bitter, I do think she meant it at least “tongue and cheek”.

I think an awesome troll.

I’m a bit surprised she didn’t add;

“And what about the Clinton Foundation?”

Tongue in cheek... but not the same meaning as "Trumps tongue is between Putin's cheeks".

Sorry for the condescension, it's just kind of the typical Fox News viewer's viewpoint: "I have strong opinions, but I don't know what's going on." Also, I should point out that Michael Flynn's only acknowledged crime so far is for lying to the FBI, but that was before the Mueller investigation began back in January 2017.

I did think it was interesting that you seem to act like lying to the FBI isn't a serious crime though. Where are so many of these people lying about Russian ties? Why were Manafort and Klimnik (allegedly) engaged in witness tampering? Why are so many people in the Trump orbit doing this shit?

I'm skeptical this investigation will bring down the president. I doubt there was outright collusion. I think the Russians are probably smarter than that, and used their troll farms and their buddy Assange at Wikileaks to achieve the desired result without leaving too much of a paper trail. Obviously a lot of people are going down, but I don't think it'll end up touching Trump unless he perjures himself.

That's an extreme edge case too, as most parents of the fallen would be over 100. Note the use of the plural in Trump's statements, meaning that there was more than one surviving parent. Plus these century-old-plus grieving parents would've had to have been spry enough to attend Trump's rallies in person and have had the rare opportunity to speak to him. The likelihood of this happening has to be somewhere around 0.003%.
Thanks for response. Thought maybe some reporter had proved the statement was a lie (one would think it would be easy to do so since that are only 7600 MIA from Korean conflict according th Defense estimates.

So the statement could be completely factual, totally fabicated, or a case of misspeaking.

And the parents could be even younger given that the parenuts would have been of child- bearing age decades before legal abortion and the pill. Also during a time when many married young and many dropped out of school to get married and immediately began having children.

Might be improbable but certainly not impossible despite the comments section. Loyala's 98-year old mascot nun became this year's NCAA darling, and she made every game. I attended a funeral in March of a 95-year old man who caught pneumonia; six months before he died, he was driving himself to golf course and playing 18 rounds.

The misspeaking is also credible because it was reported that he said "people" rather than "parents." In that case, "our sons" is a common general euphemism often used by complete strangers (similar to "our boys" when referring to strangers).

Okay, fair enough. We'll see how it plays out. I guess I'm downplaying lying to the FBI which seems to mean they couldn't find some actual crime to charge them.

Even you have to admit that giving Trump the benefit of the doubt is a losing bet.

As his good friend CJ or DJ knows, Trump speaks first and thinks ... well, he speaks first at least.

Frankly, I find this attitude baffling.

Do you not think they were trying to coordinate (collude)? Was it just a bunch of odd coincidences that members of his campaign are consistently found to be in the orbit of Russians, both here and abroad? The Ukraine, the Seychelles...even an airfield in Carolina- funny how often they cross paths.
Also funny how an organization like the NRA more than quadruples it's political donations from the previous election- from $14 million to over $50 million in 2016. Maybe I'm just a nutty guy, but that looks super obvious to me as a sign that something big here just ain't kosher.
Lest we forget, people getting together and hatching out a plan to kill someone, even if they don't pull it off, is still a criminal conspiracy.

As far as Putin being too smart to leave a paper trail- one of the objectives of the op was to throw our institutions in disarray- to undermine faith in them and the electoral process. It really doesn't matter if there is a paper trail or not because there is primarily cult like behavior underpinning the side they were assisting. No amount of "proof" or receipts are going to shake their faith in their pussy-grabbing, thrice married and serial adulterating messiah.
They win it's a good chance the West will be thrown into disarray and they have a good chance of getting sanctions lifted.
They lose...so what. Is Putin going to be indicted and arrested?

All upside and very little down as far as I can see

Sanders takes a shot at CNN’s Jim Acosta, saying he doesn’t understand simple sentences. If she had any class, she’d apologize, but her boss would never allow it. He probably high-fived her for it.

Hasn’t everyone charged with lying to the FBI agreed to work with the Mueller team?

One can only give someone "the benefit of the doubt" when there is doubt.

Having to use long, winding, contorted lines of logic filled with assumptions to justify a point is evidence itself of what the truth is.

Do you know what they call a person who gives a con-man the "benefit of the doubt"? Answer: a rube

Oh so when Cohen does it, it's cool. When Stormy's lawyer does it, Cohen goes and attempts to get a restraining order.

To be fair, he was probably referring to his staff when he said 'my people'.

Probably.
