Exactly. Trump deserves zero respect from that community. I applaud any chance they take to call him out. He deserves no less.

Let's face it, the only way we're going to get a decent Kim deal is if Trump listens to The Pixies.

When news of that is reported, KJU will deny that happened, Trump will claim that "little rocket man" reneged, and the tension is back on.
Sadly, this is exactly what I see happening. If it’s only the two of them in that room, the rest of the world will NEVER know what actually went down. Trump will come out screaming victory, Kim Jong Un will come out thinking something else, a day or two later both parties will be disagreeing with what deal was actually made and tensions will be hot again. Absolutely nothing will change...except of course, Kim will have had a sit down with the most powerful person on the planet and been validated to the world.

When Johnson began the "Great Society" programs that were supposed to end poverty within a couple of generations and we still see a huge income gap, that's an indication that those policies have largely failed. Temporary safety nets for those temporarily disabled or out of work and long-term assistance for those permanently disabled are fine. Subsidizing able-bodied workers and encouraging the breakup of the nuclear family by a system rewarding the birth of children to single parents without jobs led to a vicious cycle of dependence.

Because more racial minorities were (still are) living in poverty, the programs affected them disproportionately.

Not without revealing that "Generational welfare" is codespeak for "blacks on welfare".

Nice. Sadly predictable though.

Basically, "America first" is devolving into "rich, white America only.

There are those White folks who are genuinely concerned that well intentioned programs actually hurt minorities more than they help, and who want to help Black people get back to Africa because that's where they came from and they would be happier being among their own (they do sing and dance a lot over there). They are not the racist. You are.

It's easy to confuse the current occupant of the oval office with the person who is really calling the shots. President Putin was pleased, and that's all that matters in the U.S.S.A.

Yup.

Here's another older article that revals the BS behind the welfare is hurting the poor myth.

The Myth of Welfare’s Corrupting Influence on the Poor

https://www.nytimes.com/2015/10/21/b...-the-poor.html

The proposition is particularly cherished on the conservative end of the spectrum, articulated with verve by Charles Murray of the American Enterprise Institute, who blamed welfare for everything from higher youth unemployment to increases in “illegitimacy.” His views are shared, to a greater or lesser degree, by Republican politicians like the unsuccessful presidential candidate Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan, the chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee.

What is most perplexing is that the United States’ own experience with both welfare and its “reform” does not really support the charges.

Take births to single mothers. Already in 1995, an analysis of rates of birth to unwed mothers by Hilary Hoynes of the University of California, Berkeley, found that welfare payments did not increase single motherhood. And the experience over the next 20 years suggested that ending welfare did not reduce it.
So let's say for a minute that there was an issue with welfare and “illegitimacy"... the last thing a rational person hat believed that would do is to take steps that would force more single mothers to give birth against their will. What kind of person fights to end welfare and also looks to create more single mothers, and their chidren, that need assistance?

Hmmm...

I predict:

1) No tariffs will happen by July 1st. Deals have already been made and will be announced around end of this month. This whole Canada-US thing has been a show, and Trudeau and Trump willingly participated.

2) North Korea's nukes aren't going anywhere. Kim will tell Trump et al, to fuck off. Bolton will offer to suck Kim's cock in return for a few mentions of denuclearization. Kim refuses but suggests Bolton suck's Trump's cock. Bolton and Trump leave the room.

You and others mock people using Fox News or any other Conservative news source and how they are bias...

...and yet you embrace a Berkeley study...reported by the NYT.

Do you not see something odd going on here?

Kind of like how you stated that conservatives have stopped watching awards show because of their now political nature like you had empirical evidence to support it without citing said empirical evidence? You also didn't put, "in my opinion" at the end of your statement. You wanted us to take it as the truth.

And not all people that are on welfare for part of their lives are on it for all of their lives. Do you think churches should stop asking for donations for families in need because it might make them dependent and generational slugs?
