I love that my tax dollars are going to support this guy golfing and stirring up the NRA.

re: Official Trump Presidency Thread, Part 2

Here is Giuliani's full statement:

This is intended to clarify the views I expressed over the past few days.

These are my views:

First:

There is no campaign violation. The payment was made to resolve a personal and false allegation in order to protect the President's family. It would have been done in any event, whether he was a candidate or not.

Second:

My references to timing were not describing my understanding of the President's knowledge, but instead, my understanding of these matters.

Third:

It is undisputed that the President's dismissal of former Director Comey – an inferior executive officer – was clearly within his Article II power. Recent revelations about former Director Comey further confirm the wisdom of the President's decision, which was plainly in the best interests of our nation.
So Trump paid $130,000 because a Adult film star made a false allegation. I need to get in on that action.

I love how even Trump's supporters know he banged Stormy but they're still playing this false allegation game.

I don't know why Stormy is suing Trump for defamation when having unprotected sex with Trump is defamatory in and of itself.

Hey now!

Just because she's solidly-built, that doesn't necessarily make her flatulent.

Ah, he must read DVD Talk. A bastion of the "CARS KILL PEOPLE TOO!!!!" argument.

Especially considering the gun banning talk is because of school shootings, not terrorist attacks.

I'm not a fan of Stormy Daniels.

I like porn stars who take it in the ass.

Some highlights from Dallas. Just WTF,

I love his stratagy of saying there is a great threat, but then saying no threat thanks to him in same sentence.

Did he really describe Harvey as raining?

I think many people find the greatest threat to everything this country stands for ... is occupying the White House at this moment.

Presumably, the censored word is "actors."

Or "anarchists." Maybe "aliens."

Definitely not atheists. Because if only atheists chose the president, we'd actually get someone who embodies Christian values far more than the one we have in office right now. You know, the one most evangelicals gave full support to.

Trump and Rudy came up with such a harebrained scheme, they are the Lucy and Ethel of politics.

That certainly appears to be a true statement. And just as non-Muslims demand that "moderate" Muslims denounce the radical extremists who claim their religion but distort their values, I'm compelled and commanded to do the same for those who claim the name of Christ but distort Christian values.

The difference is that the percentages are reversed and so it makes it difficult (impossible) to make the case that the overwhelming majority doesn't reflect the true view of Christianity. I don't fault non-Christians for drawing the conclusions they have draw... they have overwhelming evidence to support their opinions.

I certainly don’t think the majority of all Christians in the US are virulent bigots. The virulent bigots who distort Christianity are just very loud and have played the game well so have amassed enough power to wield significant power in politics.
