Has there ever been a more tumultuous 100+ days of a Presidency (2017)?

Now, I got into history and social studies later in life and still not big into politics even though I'm knowledgeable in the government, past Presidents, etc...

I've only been apart of 6 Presidencies (not counting current). But to my knowledge, I don't remember or think there has been a more controversial, more upheaval and wildness to the first days of a Presidency ever?

Has there? If so, who? And remember only first 100 days...

I would say that Abraham Lincoln wins that one.

Number two would be William Henry Harrison.

I'm voting for 'high' due to the strangled syntax of the post title.

What's wrong with the syntax?

Does the phrase "dumpster fire" mean anything to you?

Look, I know it's not the best thread title, but isn't that a little harsh?

It should either me "Has this been the most tumultuous 100+ days of a Presidency ever (2017)?" or "Have there ever been a more tumultuous 100+ days of a Presidency (2017)?"

But I'm not a teacher.

The bolded parts don't go together.

"Has there ever been a more tumultuous 100+ days of a Presidency (2017)?"

or

"Has this been the most tumultuous 100+ days of a Presidency ever (2017)?"

Would both be better, grammatically.

EDIT: and majorjoe beat me to it.

Let's not allow that to sidetrack the point of the thread. Is this president great or what?

Looking forward to saving money on infrastructure by bullying construction companies into bankruptcy after the job is done. #MAGA

re: Has there ever been a more tumultuous 100+ days of a Presidency (2017)?

was too young to be fully cognizant of what was going on at the start of Nixons second term.
I do remember the Watergate hearings though as they pre-empted my afternoon cartoons and my mother's soaps.

Reagan had the release of the hostages which was a BFD after over a year of dark uncertainty, and feeling like the country was impotent to do anything. And then a month or two later he got shot.

By the end of his term I was more politically aware (watched the I-C hearings for hours on end) and wasn't a fan, but at the start it really did feel like he was an inspiring breath of fresh air and it was morning in America.

More than any other time, I feel like we are living in an age of heroes and villains of mythic proportions, and this is going to be cast in very sharp relief very soon.

Another answer for the OP is, no this isn't the most (or more) tumultuous first 100 days, but it is the suck-fest-est.

It's certainly not the most tumultuous 100+ days for America. But for an administration dealing with zero outside crisis, yes, I can't think of another administration that has fucked up this hard all on their own without having to deal with any external issues not of their own making.
