^ would have been perfect if there was a third sentence at the bottom: "You're free to go."

I didn't step foot in school after high school. Lived in squalor for fifteen years (I've mentioned it in my posts before). And now probably make more than most people on this forum.

My best recommendation is to stop pretending like you're going to have it easy. Keep doing the job you know, even if you're working fast food. And eventually you'll have money.
What do you do for a living?

Haha! Where's that 'like' button we've wanted for this forum?

I own a small business that's an independent distributor of industrial and electrical supply.

I started doing it straight out of high school. I'm 35 now and it took until a year or two ago to be able to move out of my office and live a somewhat normal life. And there was a period of time (up until 2008) that I had enough credit cards to subsidize my living expenses to.

Life is weird. And I kind of enjoyed living that way. There is a moment in the CBGB movie where Hilly Kristal lays down on a dirty mattress in his new bar. I pretty much did that! Only I palletized my belongings and kept a comforter under my desk. And my setup was far more suburban than his.

I don't really know how else to make money, other than gambling everything you have on business. Some people are very good at holding down a reasonable job and budgeting.
