Did reporters actually ask Clinton that question? If so, when?

I definitely remember it happening. They were pretty brutal to her during Monica-gate. I'm not going to go scouring the internet to find you an example though.

A person would have to have a pretty selective memory to not remember the bashing for "Standing by Her Man", including many bits that used the song. So often that Hillary started defending herself specially against that catchphrase:

Oh, the media talked about it a lot, just as they talk about Trump/Melania.

I just don't ever recall anyone asking her the question directly and couldn't get any hits when Googling it. It's not the "million times" hyperbole...that's just meme talk..., but if you can't find even one example...?

Considering the scrutiny the Trumps have already received...remember the obsessing over whether she rebuffed him in public, brushed off his hand, made faces behind him, etc?...and the fact that the Clintons went through the public Ken Starr testimony process and had eight years in office to Trump's one (thus far), it seems that the comparison is premature. And that kind of deflates the entire premise of the meme, doesn't it?

You don't know the king? Off with your head, peasant! This thread is his domain.

(What's "the meme in question?" )

Edit: Just looked back & saw that you indeed were the culprit of the faulty meme. I owe 'Enry an apology, although he dittoed the sentiment so he's not totally blameless.

The meme was so inaccurate, I just assumed it came from 'Enry and overlooked it, considering the source (accuracy doesn't seem very important to the king). It never occurred to me that it was you since I figured you would research it better.

My bad. I apologize for my earlier unwarranted apology to you. You actually deserved the blame.

Well, you got the "he" part right (as far as we know).

He uses the Latin spelling: "inri." You can ask him about the meaning, but heretofore he's been a little uncertain about how he got that appellation.

Probably just picked it out of thin air. , although it seems that he mentioned something about it being a Catholic thing. Must be the Latin.

Or maybe he just has delusions of grandeur.

Anyway...back to memes.

A few truly offensive ones. The first obviously created by a man:

Spoiler:

The second even more shameful.

Spoiler:

And the third...well, trigger warning required, especially since this springs from a female source:

According to the Bible, when Jesus was crucified, Pilate wrote "Jesus, King of the Jews" on the Cross. In Latin, this is Iēsus Nazarēnus, Rēx Iūdaeōrum, or INRI.

Creekdipper is offended (triggered, one might say) that inri222 has that name. Apparently, creekdipper thinks it's disrespectful to Jesus, or that nobody but Jesus is allowed to use those letters, or who the fuck knows what he's thinking. But creekdipper insists on calling inri 'enry instead of using his name. I suppose creekdipper thinks he's being clever, but it just comes across as asshole behavior to me.

Quite frankly, inri is a lot more patient than I am, because I think creekdipper's behavior is completely inappropriate to the forum and if it were directed at me, I'd be blowing up the mod mailbox.

Well, somebody sure sounds triggered.

(And a little violent, too. Blowing up mailboxes? )

We all need to get in a safe space. Shrapnel, y'know?

It's enough to make people leave the forum in droves due to the threat of violence.

Personally, I find most of your behavior inappropriate to the forum but just laugh about it and ignore it the same as the people you routinely insult.

But we'll always have Paris.

I totally agree that the reaction is incredible.

In fact, it 's so incredible that it leaves one speechless.

Who woulda thunk that anyone would find a person "coincidentally" choosing the derisive term used by the executioners to mock the person worshiped by countless millions to be anything other than an innocent gesture?

Now, on the other hand, calling someone 'Enry..
now, that's beyond the pale and requires Eddie Haskell-like running to tattle!

The horror...the horror....

Up is down and down is up and never the twain shall meet.

Too fun, indeed!

Carry on, chaps.

I miss He Who Shall Not Be Named.

(Great memes, btw).
