What has MSNBC.com done for me lately?

MSNBC.com used to be my go-to for online news. They've always had a bit of a liberal slant, but that tends to be more on the television side. Now, the new MSNBC.com seems to be intentionally a "Fox News" for the left. Pretty much all commentary stories, very "progressive" in web layout with clean nav and big pretty pictures, but incredibly limited content up front (unless you really like to scroll).

So, now I'm back to cnn.com, with the curiosity visit of foxnews.com as well.

I know their "old" site is over on nbcnews.com, but you can't seriously expect me to change my habits from typing "ms" in the browser to "nb." Internet addiction is serious business and they just destroyed their supply chain. Seriously lame.

Anyone else bothered by their change?

Huh, I thought the site had become nbcnews.com.

"msnbc: news, video and progressive community. Lean Forward."

I hate the new site as well, and have trained myself to omit the "ms" when I type the address into my browser address bar.

I've never frequented msnbc.com to peruse news. But going there now, the layout is really neat. Not sure it is useful but it looks nice.

I agree. It's nice and clean. But for a news site, it won't work.

Not going to nbcnews.com because I can't support such an absurd change.

Good call I also use Aljazeera for my news. Much less biased than either msnbc or fox news.

I'd rather read about that than the ridiculous slanted take on news from MSNBC or Fox.

And isn't the UK television tax a flat tax? Or do people who make "too much" have to pay a lot more for the same service?

I like how a mandatory tax on the ownership of televisions is now being defended here.

Has anyone considered doing something similar to provide healthcare to everyone?

Anyone?

Sorry, I missed the memo that says that a flat user fee is now socialism.

Is the Garden State Parkway socialism?

I really don't understand your point.

Do you think a flat tax is socialism? If not, why did you say that it was?

I don't see something where only people who use a service pay for the service and everybody pays the same price as socialism. Maybe if the GSP's system was that people who's cars are "too nice" had to pay much higher tolls.

But I can see that this is going to turn into a retarded conversation where since I one day stepped outside and breathed air that may or may not have been regulated by the EPA, I'm a hypocrite for not wishing a Marxist revolution in the United States.

There are other news services which don't rely on a television broadcast wing.
