I hope not. I am so looking forward to watching Hillary wipe the floor with him at the debates and then in November.

It will be sweet. Can't wait for the debates when he's asked a question about a concept or country he has not thought about for more than 10 seconds.

I mean, for fuck's sake -- Hillary has a 25+ year history of championing vaccines (and autism research too, but whatever). In "It Takes a Village," she touts the Vaccines for Children Bill passed duruing her husband's administration. But instead, we're going to pretend she's no different from Ben fucking Carson, who got on stage at a Republican debate and hemmed and hawed about whether parents should vaccinate their kids.

(Coming up next on DVDTalk: Hillary Clinton is a whore who's in the pocket of the big vaccine manufacturers)

Occupied Territory

Great (long) article on the Republican élite struggles over whether to resist Trump or capitulate.

Favorite part has to be how Chris Christie has been reduced to being Trump's manservant!

Governor Chris Christie, of New Jersey, another of Trump’s opponents early in the campaign, has transformed himself into a sort of manservant, who is constantly with Trump at events. (One Republican told me that a friend of his on the Trump campaign used Snapchat to send him a video of Christie fetching Trump’s McDonald’s order)

I wonder if the democrats will have the balls to air attack ads that have audio of Trump bragging about what a great businessman he is while the video shows his name being taken off of run-down casinos.

I don't see why that would take balls. Just add it to the list

Looks like a decent document dump from the DNC server. Turns out they had strategy for Hillary before she ever decided to run. In fact, she had strategy for herself before she knew she would run. That's why the $1.3 million she took in speaking fees after that are okay.

Also turns out they released financial info. Undoubtedly all positive for Clinton.

Re: The 2016 Presidential Election thread: come for the anger, stay for the Hüsker Dü

The Russians hacking the DNC is a joke. Key Democrats know Trump is more friendly with Putin than they ever could be, and wanted to through some bait to see if Trump would take it and start a rant on Putin and Russia. Surprisingly, Trump called it a DNC job rather quick.

Some key notes from the "hackjob":

*Trump has no core.
*Trump is loyal only to himself.
*Trump is a liar.

It reads like the DNC just replaced the word Hillary...with Trump.

Mitt Romney, did you send the DNC this?

I hope they have the balls to air ad showing footage/photos of Bataan death march with Trumps voice, "They're not heroes. They're only heroes because they were captured. I like people who aren't captured".

Another ad should show some 3rd graders mocking a disabled kid on the playground. Then show Trump mocking the disabled reporter.
"Do we really want a 3rd grader for president?"

Ooh! I know this one!

He was asked that a month ago or so, and he responded that he can't afford to get sick on the road, and that ingredients of local foods vary from place to place and you can never be sure what you're getting. McDonalds, however, use the same ingredients no matter where they are located. It may not be the fanciest food, but it's "safe".

Seriously, that's what he said.

Edit: Here's one article that addresses this.

Most surprising off all was Trump’s defense of his fried food habit. According to the famously germaphobic candidate, it is the cleanliness and quality of these chains’ cuisine that he finds most appealing, making Trump perhaps the only human in recorded history to praise fast food for those reasons.

“I’m a very clean person. I like cleanliness. I think you’re better off going there than someplace you have no idea where the food is coming from. It’s a certain standard,” Trump continued, straight-faced. “The one thing about the big franchises: one bad hamburger, you can destroy McDonald’s. One bad hamburger, you take Wendy’s and all these other places and they’re out of business.”
Also, he apparently eats fast food from other places as well.

They already made one, but more effective than what you're suggesting, basically saying even 3rd grader know better than to mock someone with a disability.
