^Probably. Which is a shame. There will be too much reasonable doubt, but he shot and killed an unarmed person. Guilty.

Can repeatedly smacking someone's head into the sidewalk not result in death? Or are you saying that didn't happen?

The latter. The lacerations to the back of his head were relatively minor. He also had a broken nose and black eyes. Basically, he got into a fight with Trayvon, and was losing that fight, so he shot him.

What if Martin was going for Zimmerman's gun?

How can it be a fight if Travon had no defensive wounds on him?

Has Zimmerman stated that is what was happening? (I don't know). I'm inclined to not believe him. I doubt Martin would have engaged him in any way if he knew he had a gun.

I think he did state that Martin tried to grab his gun, it's on the wiki page at least

If some guy I didn't know was following me for no reason and started a fight with me, then pulled a gun on me, I would probably try to get the gun away from him, too, before he could shoot me.

Yes, YOU would, but keep in mind you're not a black teenager in a hoodie. It is the responsibility of the black teenager to understand that, statistically speaking, he's probably up to no good, so if some white/white-ish guy with a gun is following him around, he needs to let that man confront him to verify that he is, indeed, not doing anything wrong.

You know, you are supposed to do that only when you want to be an Internet tough guy, not in real life.

Wait, didn't she say she was starting 12th grade in the fall? That would still be High School, and at 19 wouldn't that mean she was held back a year?

Possibly 2 years depending on when she turns 20.

Sorry, but if any person has two hands and two feet, they are not un-armed.

-Fists can kill or knock someone to the ground. Then, they can use the hands to beat the head against the ground.

-Once someone is on the ground, the foot can kick in a head very easily.

You're not making sense there. You're saying Zimmerman should have worn a big sign around his neck that said, "Hi, I have a gun."

???

The whole idea of a concealed gun...is that people don't know you have it.

I think the whole point was that Trayvon may have unleashed his innocent boyness on Zimmerman, basically beating his ass...but Zimmerman whips a gun out and wins the punching contest.

Easy to say after the fact and when it's not your head getting smashed into the ground.

Or, it means that he didn't get his head repeatedly smashed into the ground. But nah, he has no reason to not tell the 100 percent truth!

I don't think Martin would have engaged him if fatty wasn't acting like a paranoid retarded stalker.

You can't seriously be equating a person without a gun to a person with a gun just because some people can kick ass with their feet and fists.

This is true. If he would not have been such a law enforcement nuthugger wannabe cop this whole shit would never have happened.
And he probably would not have engaged Martin if he did not have a gun on him.

And he wouldn't be on trial for murder if he minded his own damn business instead of being cop wannabe. This is 100% his fault.

I know he wanted to be a cop, and he would have fit right in with them. At the first sign of resistance, pull out your gun and shoot.
