Are police officers who go undercover at protest marches to try to incite people to commit crimes considered to be behaving badly?

Sounds like those fbi terrorist stings, where the feds do essentially everything to recruit & motivate a 'bad-guy' to do do something in their entirely hand-built scenario, then arrest him.

I'm sure we'll see a lengthy internal investigation, so hopefully people forget about it. Then when they ask, we'll hear that disciplinary actions were taken, but due to confidentiality, we can't know what that action was (if anything at all).

My father was 81 and installing carpet a few months before he died. He was in incredible shape for 81. My point, don't let the age fool you. Old guys like my dad can be very tough. Was he supposed to jump on him and put him in a headlock?

But Urich said when Vasquez tried to explain to the officer that it was a dealer's car with special dealer's plates and did not require a current inspection sticker, the officer got angry, grabbed Vasquez by the arm and started to cuff him.

An expired inspection sticker is a citation and a car with dealer's plates do not require an inspection sticker. The police behavior was unnecessary.

Agreed.

I'm not saying that he was right. I'm saying he was wrong. He just wasn't wrong because the guy was in his 70's.

Re: The "Cops Behaving Badly" Thread

An officer who had 5 pounds of weed in his house likely won't face charges, since he claims the product was for training his K9. Apparently he just seized this on his own, and failed to write a report about it. And also failed to write 36 other reports as well.

I'm sure taking home evidence is just the routine and well documented method of obtaining training materials for the dog. No word yet on if he will be disciplined through the force.

(CNN) -- Mark Kessler, the small-town Pennsylvania police chief who posted videos of himself firing automatic weapons while cursing about gun control, has been given a termination notice.

The borough council of Gilberton, population 750, voted 6-1 to fire him at a meeting Thursday night, said council chairman Daniel J. Malloy.

Kessler was suspended July 31 at a council meeting that drew thousands of his supporters, including some openly armed, to the small town in Schuylkill County in eastern Pennsylvania
Police chief's pro-gun video goes viral

He will remain on suspension for 10 days to give him time to appeal, Malloy said. He would not comment further.

"We knew it was coming," Kessler said after the vote, CNN affiliate WFMZ-TV reported.

Kessler's attorney, Joseph Nahas, said he will request a public hearing next week, the affiliate reported.

The council accused Kessler of misusing borough property, neglecting his duties and failing to turn over weapons to the borough, his lawyer said.

But Kessler said the firing is "because of my videos."

In the videos, he rails against liberals for attempting to curb gun rights and Secretary of State John Kerry for supporting an arms treaty. At one point in a video, he dares Kerry to come and take his guns.
Huh? Weird.

Fake Pro-Gun Cop, Who Coined Term ‘Libtard’, Was Actually An FBI Snitch

http://alternativemediasyndicate.com...an-fbi-snitch/

Spoiler:
You might know him as the man who popularized the term “libtard.” Former Gilberton, Pennsylvania police chief Mark Kessler, known for his videos on YouTube, said that he created the videos for government agencies (intelligence) “in order to attract the worst of the worst.”

He claims that this led to the subsequent arrest of militia members with “terrorist leanings.”

He revealed to Sean Hannity’s allegedly liberal counterpart Alan Colmes that he was instructed to create those videos in order to attract those who he called extremists.

But the real extremism seemed to be coming from from Kessler himself, who not only went far beyond anything normally heard in the circles he was trying to infiltrate, but who also even seems to have coined a now-popular internet term “libtards” to refer, offensively to liberals and those with mental retardation as equally as politically informed.

Kessler says that he first was contacted by those he now claims are “extremists” after he pushed for Gilberton’s city council to adopt a resolution that would get rid of a number of gun laws. After that, he explains, he met with FBI agents, along with a Joint Terrorism Task Force state trooper, passing on information. This continued for years, and eventually he decided to proactively incite people to criminal activity by making incendiary videos that he posted to YouTube in the summer of 2013.

“I wasn’t portraying me. I was basically acting to attract these sickos and it worked,” Kessler said about the viral videos.

“I thought I was doing good for myself, my country, my fellow Americans, by trapping these radicals and extremists and bringing them to the appropriate authorities, but in the meantime I decimated my career,” he continued. “Was it worth it? If I saved one person’s life, absolutely it was worth it.”

Several alternative news sites which covered the Kessler coterie take-over of the town of Gilberton in the summer of 2013, allege that they received death threats and attacks for covering the chief. The sheer scale of these led some to believe from the start that Kessler’s was not an organic movement, but one that was grown by the FBI. It turns that that this underground theory about Kessler and his buddies proved to be correct.
