2 abdomen xrays
3 enemas and forced defecations

No drugs were found.

Now, most logical people would say, hey, he got a free colonoscopy out of the deal, he should feel lucky he got free healthcare. You would be wrong though, the hospital billed him for all the procedures, and is threatening to send him to collections if he doesn't pay.

Oh, and the search warrant was only valid in the county it was issued in, and since the first hospital refused, they had to go to the next county over, so the warrant was technically invalid. The warrant had also expired in time when they performed all these anal probings.

He is suing everyone involved, obviously.

Just wanted to add a link to a blog post by Ken White. Ken is a former federal prosecutor, now in private practice, and writes about various legal issues, mostly relating to free speech, but also general articles where people appear to be getting shafted by the legal system (no pun intended). It's an excellent blog, good mix of dumbing the legal stuff down to where we can understand and mixes in some dark humor. He's studied the warrant and police reports used in this case.

His opinion basically boils down to this: yes, he agrees with 99.999% of the country that is incident is a horrible thing, should never happen to anyone and is a travesty to our legal system..

The bad news: it's reasonably possible he'll lose and the court will agree with the police that this was an appropriate search.

My opinion, the kid was driving a heavy vehicle like a crazy man on a college campus with people everywhere. He rammed police several times, including at the end when the shooting officer was getting out of his car. Pretty justified in my mind.

I came to that conclusion the moment I read the story, and I didn't need to read anything. There is no accountability for this sort of thing. All parties involved should be put in prison.

Yeah, when I first read the story, I had little sympathy to begin with because it could have easily been avoided if he just pulled over. But after watching the video, I really don't have any sympathy. The very last thing he did before the shots were fired was ram a police car with a giant truck for the THIRD time - not to mention how many people he put in danger driving the way he did.

Exclusive: Grosse Pointe cops film, humiliate black men
by Steve Neavling / 4 days ago / @mcmuckraker

Most of the videos are shot from squad cars while African American men are told to sing or "dance like a chimp."

Grosse Pointe Park police officers are capturing humiliating photos and videos of black men and texting them to friends and family, the Motor City Muckraker has found.

One of the main culprits is Officer Mike Najm, who texted a picture of a black man in the back of a trailer and typed, “Gotta love the coloreds.” In one video, Najm can be heard telling a mentally ill black man to sing.

Most of the videos are shot from squad cars while African American men are told to sing or “dance like a chimp.” Some of the subjects are even in the back of police cars.

Grosse Pointe Park Capt. David Loch said earlier today he was skeptical of the allegations because of a contentious divorce between Najm and his ex-wife, whom Loch presumed to be the source of the texts. But after we watched more than a dozen racially charged videos this afternoon sent from officers in his department, Loch said he would immediately investigate.

“If you are in possession of something, we will meet with you,” Loch offered.

We are not revealing the source of the texts and videos but were able to verify they were sent from the cell phones of police officers. Many of the photos and videos have been forwarded numerous times.

“It’s disgusting,” the source of the messages said. “It’s part of the culture in Grosse Pointe.”

Najm didn’t return calls or texts for comment.

Because of the humiliating nature of some of the videos, we aren’t publishing most of them.

On the border of Detroit, Grosse Pointe is emblematic of the racial divide. In 1960, a civil case revealed the community used a screening process to effectively make it impossible for black people and “Orientals” to buy property. Grosse Pointe remains an area of wealth and privilege – and critics say it has done little to ease fears of racism.

“I won’t even go there anymore,” Anthony Baker, who is black, told me. “Last three times I went, I got pulled over every single time. Never got a ticket, just lots of questions.”

Wow, what a level-headed guy.
If this were me:

“I’m not raising my voice, I’m not confrontational, I want my kids,” Howe said in the YouTube video, later adding, “I can’t stand in line — I’m walking. Picking my kids up.”

“You’re trying to be difficult. You’re being childish,” Aytes replied.
I would've fucking lost my shit.

Mod question:

Is this type of rhetoric really necessary in virtually every topic you post about?

An African American teen has accused police in Southern California of beating him for no reason. Two civilians on the scene caught the incident on videos that are embedded above.

Long Beach police said officers were responding to reports of a fight early Monday morning when they arrested Carlo Gonzalez, 18, KTLA reports in the exclusive video above.

But Gonzalez told KTLA that there was no fight and that he was just playing around with his friends. Gonzalez said cops tackled him, threw him to a curb and began beating him for no reason.

In the videos above, Gonzalez appears to be handcuffed and rolling around as officers beat him with batons. Police said Gonzalez was resisting arrest.

"He tased my leg, and they were just striking me with the batons in the back until it broke," Gonzalez said. "Then he started hitting me with a flashlight, and then I got kicked right here [pointing to his eye]."

"These people are supposed to be trained to be able to diffuse the situation," Gonzalez's tearful mother said to KTLA.

Long Beach police Sgt. Aaron Eaton said the department is reviewing the videos and will respond appropriately.

"Anytime you have use of force, it just doesn't look good," Eaton said to KTLA. "But we really have to just look at the context of what the officers were engaged [in] at that point."

Gonzalez was arrested for public intoxication, possession of marijuana and resisting arrest. His mother said she bailed him out jail and then took him to the hospital for his injuries. She said that, until now, Gonzalez has had no criminal record.
The video is pretty brutal.

No, she really meant diffuse.

Diffuse would probably be street legal in an amelioration sort of way.

Black man racially profiled and arrested 62 times for trespassing at his job
Fri., Nov. 22, 2013 12:17 PM EST
by Amir Shaw

Earl Sampson, 28, is a living example of the pathetic nature of racism. According to the Miami Herald, Sampson has been arrested 62 times for trespassing at his own job.

Sampson is employed at a Quickstop in Miami Gardens. The predominately black neighborhood is one of the most crime-riddled areas in Miami. In turn, the police believe they can get away with racially profiling and harrassing the residents in that community without probable cause.

In four years, Sampson has been questioned by Miami police 258 times and arrested 56 times. However, his most severe conviction has been marijuana possession.

Although Sampson has steady employment at Quickstop, police continue to racially profile him at his job. The owner of Quickstop, Alex Saleh, decided to set up video cameras at the store to see why Sampson and other black employees were being arrested.

Saleh discovered that Miami police were using “stop and frisk” tactics on the black employees and customers without search warrants.

Miami’s Police Chief Matthew Boyd has yet to respond to the incidents.

The store owner installed more cameras to catch the police, not to stop crime. That's what this country has come to in many places.
