Re: The "Cops Behaving Badly" Thread
^ It's gotten to the point when we as a country make every excuse for police to use force. If a "suspect" twitches, tenses up his arms, turns around, doesn't lie face down, that's enough reason for police to feel threatened and hit people or shoot them. |
Re: The "Cops Behaving Badly" Thread
Let's look at this act of "negligence."

Are these cops on drugs? Cops threaten to shoot black family which includes two kids and a pregnant woman. The cops also slammed the father's head into the police car. They got into a tussle with the mother when they tried to take the baby. The baby was injured in the tug of war. All the while the cops are screaming that they are going shoot them. Note this is over a one dollar doll that the police claims one of the kids walked out with. The police are refusing to release the officers name and they are still on duty. The family is suing the police department for 10 million. Also adding the cops that came on the scene didn't do anything to calm the situation down. And people still wonder why POC are afraid of interacting with them.

Re: The "Cops Behaving Badly" Thread
The Black Panther Party idea on how to end police racism/violence was to only have police officers patrol in the neighborhoods they lived in. So instead of having some guy who lives in White Heights 20 miles away come into your neighborhood and act like he was superior to everyone, you'd have officers that people grew up with and still had a vested interested in the neighborhood.

Re: The "Cops Behaving Badly" Thread
Man arrested with IV in him and in hospital robe.
They tried to kill him Security claimed the man was trying to steal the IV to sell on ebay. The man told him his doctor told him to walk around outside. I kind of find it hard to believe someone would steal a IV without their clothes and with the IV still stuck in them. Also all they needed to do was ask the doctor. The guy unfortunately passed out on the way to jail. |

Cop accused of racism and sexual assault named officer of the year.
Such high standards. Imagine what the cops he beat out must be like. |

Who the hell is that sheriff/police chief? I could barely understand him? Where do they get these people? He’s not from that city, county, or state. He’s not even from America. What is that accent? |
Re: The "Cops Behaving Badly" Thread
So far 119 cases have been thrown out after body cam evidence showed this asshole planting "evidence" on the scene. The guy just got fired after a lengthy investigation but he has cause horrors for dozens of families

Re: The "Cops Behaving Badly" Thread
^ And watch the pretext he used for searching someone's car at 5:30. The idea is that, if you are clean, you have nothing to hide, right? And all this started because supposedly the car had a bad tail light. Even without the arrest for the planted drug, the stop took over 10 minutes. This cop is a pig.

Re: The "Cops Behaving Badly" Thread
I guess these aren't "bad apples" because they didn't shoot anyone.

Re: The "Cops Behaving Badly" Thread
Cop ignores stop sign and causes a accident. Cop then arrests other person.
Just a few bad apples The cop was driving a unmarked SUV when he ran the stop sign. Carlos then side swipes the van. The cop forces the guy to the ground and arrests him. However, the entire accident was caught by a neighbors security cam proving the cop caused the accident by running the stop sign. |

Also note there were multiple officers in the SUV and none stopped this. Just a few bad apples.

Re: The "Cops Behaving Badly" Thread
No the “a few bad apples” saying does apply, as long as you continue the whole expression. “A few bad apples spoils the whole bunch.” And it’s true of cops. |

Re: The "Cops Behaving Badly" Thread
I would like to see more cases where the good apples say, they are nothing like us, please get rid of them and punish them as harshly as you want, instead of reflexively defending them because they are police too, and no civilian can appreciate how tough our jobs are. |
Re: The "Cops Behaving Badly" Thread
I'd love to see that as well, but unfortunately it just doesn't seem to be a part of their culture, and that's a big problem that's just getting worse.

I love the hypocrisy when they try to get people to turn in their criminal friends/relatives/etc and yet they won't do the same shit with their dirty partners/co-workers. |

Cop shot and killed a civilian (next door neighbor of a friend I don't see much) who had a screwdriver on them and supposedly had threatened some people last week in the town next to mine during a 4th of July celebration. Will be going to a city council meeting on it next week and post an update
