That's a question I had, too.

Her bosses at the University were the ones who told her to refuse to let them draw blood. If they hadn't told her to do so, she wouldn't have been arrested. From her legal team's perspective, they are going to name both parties to cover all bases – just in case it is somehow ruled that the police were justified and that the hospital had acted improperly.

The hospital agrees to go in 50/50 with the cops to make a settlement to avoid the resulting legal fees and bad press.

Man Suspected Of Breaking Into Pickup, Then Shot By Officer, Owns Pickup
Updated: November 14, 2017 9:55 PM

MESQUITE – Police in Mesquite said Tuesday that a man suspected of breaking into a pickup truck, and was then shot by an officer after a confrontation last Wednesday, is actually the owner of the vehicle.

Lyndo Jones was still charged with one count of evading arrest, said Lt. Brian Parrish with the Mesquite Police Department, but those charges were dropped Tuesday evening. The lawyer for Jones stated that the Dallas County District Attorney’s office rejected the charge.
He should thank the police that they didn't kill him and dropped charges of evading arrest.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. When you see what these people think is appropriate to post publicly, just image what they say and do when they're behind closed doors.

Cop charged with 2nd degree murder. Appears to fired hearing his partner shooting a bean bag round, not realizing he was shooting non-lethal. Victim was pretty much just standing there. No de-escalation at all, was pretty much run up and shoot. video is pretty clear.

I hung out at a cop bar a couple of times and some of the conversations I overheard were disturbing.

Re: The "Cops Behaving Badly" Thread

I remember i had a thread on here about why i hate cops and i mentioned the way cop acquaintances talk and the shit they send around on the internet, like photos of dead perps, and everyone here pretty much unanimously declared me a D bag. That was like 6 years ago. My how times have changed.

I wouldn't have said that. I used to work in news and interacted with cops several times a week. Many were good people but plenty were huge douchenozzles.

Cop that shot Walter Scott in the back and then planted evidence on him was sentenced to 20 years in prison. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/12/07/u...imes&smtyp=cur

The cop that stood by and watched the officer plant evidence and lied to protect the murderous cop still has a job.

This is the worst one I've seen in a while.

It's like, if you give the guy enough contradicting instructions and scream at them enough, eventually you can shoot them.

Why in fuck the other officer didn't just cuff him is mind boggling.

I watched that earlier today. Absolutely appalling.

So the officer was acquitted. Was his police force found liable for poor training?

Sickening. We are told not to judge the entire police force based on actions of a bad few, but when the bad few are acquitted...

Small consolation perhaps, but at least Slager is going away for a long time. Should have been life without parole. That was the most clearcut, blatant case of police murder that I can recall, and then to plant evidence... Corrupt piece of trash.

That cop deserves the death penalty. Too bad he was acquitted. Hopefully someone in Arizona sees fit to give him the death penalty anyhow.
