It just seems to me that when the Israelis, the Saudis, the Jordanians and the Gulf states all feel this is a bad deal, and the Iranian regime is touting it as a great victory, it may not be that great.
The Saudis now support the deal.

Re: Attack on Iran nuclear facilities "imminent"?

This Tom Cotton the Repubs have anointed as their spokesperson is a real winner. He says we can take out Iran in a few days.

"Even if military action were required -- and we certainly should have kept the credible threat of military force on the table throughout which always improves diplomacy -- the president is trying to make you think it would be 150,000 heavy mechanized troops on the ground in the Middle East again as we saw in Iraq. That's simply not the case."

"It would be something more along the lines of what President Clinton did in December 1998 during Operation Desert Fox. Several days of air and naval bombing against Iraq's weapons of mass destruction facilities for exactly the same kind of behavior -- for interfering with weapons inspectors and for disobeying Security Council resolutions. All we're asking is that the president simply be as tough as in the protection of America's national security interest as Bill Clinton was."

We could 'take out Iran' in a couple of hours - if we would use thermo-nuclear weapons. It wouldn't take many.

I saw reports that the deal doesn't include Iran recognizing Israel. Does this really matter? Seems like just a symbolic issue, if anything.

Nah, I think it's a distraction. The Republicans who want to add that condition are just looking for a cheap way to kill the deal -- when there are so many actual reasons this deal sucks.

So if she's right, Jesus will return to Earth and take her, Creekdipper, dvdjunkie, etc. off to heaven while leaving the rest of us to wallow in our sins?

2000 years of wars, genocides, slavery, famines, diseases and miscellaneous atrocities didn't bother Jesus, but he will come back because of a random treaty and marriage equality. Makes sense.

This entire deal is symbolic, and Iran is going to run with it all they can until November 2016.

You know what scares me? That people in power think the wrath of God is coming. Because they have the ability to finagle and cause damage on a mass-scale. It's the self-fulfilled prophecy. These people want their lives to play out like a big budget action film. It's all the "preppers" who might be let-down if society doesn't collapse. It's a disappointing existence, if armies don't meet in Israel before they die of natural causes.

Re: Attack on Iran nuclear facilities "imminent"?

This "deal" is a complete joke. The whole thing was done because Iran ignored the last agreement and got sanctions against it.. so they worked out a new deal where they can continue to do whatever the hell they want and get no sanctions. That's some great negotiating skills.. on one side.

All the while they've said they will not abide by this agreement regardless of what they sign and they've chanted "Death to America" the whole time. I'm sure they'll ignore it and Obama will pat himself on the back for how terrific it is and how he's come one step closer to fucking over Israel which he obvious doesn't give 2 shits about (although I think by now that's not news to anyone).

This is just my opinion. I'm sure there are many that will think this is a great deal.. like Jimmy Carter.
