People keep talking about Gov. Perry as if he were a buffoon.

They're correct.

Sadly, the American people have elected buffoons before.

I don't eat a lot of corn dogs, but when I do I'm sure I don't look like Sasha Grey sucking dick.

That's because he thought he was a Whig. Or he wore a wig. There has to be some explanation for such an unnatural occurrence.

You'd think the First Lady Health Nanny would be grabbing that deadly hot dog away from him.

If you've been paying attention, you'll note there are times I've criticized our current Democratic president. Notwithstanding those criticisms, I still think he's a damned sight better than the parade of clowns vying for the GOP nomination.

No kidding. The fact that she's not is almost enough to make you rethink your silly caricature of her.

(Don't worry -- I said "almost.")

Problem for Obama is he has already had 2.5 years in office and has not performed well, whether that is all perception or not. The GOP 'clowns' have not had a shot yet. I'm inclined to believe a lot of voters are going to steer away from Obama unless things start to change like he promised during his campaign. Obama's greatest opponent is himself.

Would you care to list 10 times that you've disagreed with the current president?

I wonder if the president 'snuck out' and went to a couple of casinos while he is in Iowa?

Why don't you search for the thread I started the last time we had this discussion.

Bachmann and Perry, I'll give you, but I'd take Romney or Johnson over any of the clowns who've been president since Nixon. But then, I'd take Kucinich over most of them too.

It depends - do they allow smoking in the casinos there?

Quite right. Back on topic -- there's no way James Buchanan was more buffoonish than Martin van Buren.
