Newsweek Declares Obama a God

The liberal media has gone too far this time. Hopefully the new congress will pass a new "truth in media" bill which forces any rag that is shown to be more liberal than the fair and balanced Fox News carry a warning label.

Offensive. Who is it supposed to be? Shiva had 4 arms (I think) and 3 eyes.

This has 6 arms and huge ears.

I'm more interested in Berlusconi's Bunga-Bunga Nation.

Is this the same Newsweek magazine that was sold (as in the entire company) for $1 in August? I'll believe he is a deity when Time says he is.

It's worth reading. The day Berlusconi finally keels over, the world will become a slightly better place.

Re: Newsweek Declares Obama a God

I used to get Newsweek for free....and that was too much.
The Week FTW.

I like how with the subtitle they are preemptively explaining any/all of his failures. It wasn't him, it's the modern presidency. No man can handle it, even The Anointed One. Either that or the fact that the average American is just too stupid to comprehend the utter wisdom encased in this holy flesh.

Last I checked God wasn't a complete and utter fuck up. Hell he even created the entire world one day early. Obama would have promised to create a world and when he failed blame it on those other guys.

The poll colors are incorrect. The Dem answer is colored red and the Repub answer is colored blue. Thread fail!

Wow. Just wow.

I find the sub-heading more telling than the image or headline itself.

The office and duties of the president can be as big or a small as the executive chooses. When the president decides that he's going to take everything upon himselft even when his track record of success is an embarassment then that's his problem.

For example, it is not a requirement of the president to fly to Europe to lobby in front of the international Olympic committee. If he chooses to do so that's his deal. When he fails he better suck it up.

Is Newsweek exposing a racial bias by its suggestion that the presidency may be too much for one person to handle now that there's an African-American president?

Why wasn't this concern raised when George Bush was president?

Read the article:

http://www.newsweek.com/2010/11/13/i...ig-a-job.html#

But the issue is not Obama, it’s the office. Aides to George W. Bush make similar complaints about the demands on the executive. “It was a much different place than even during the Bush Sr. administration,” says Joe Hagin, Bush 43’s deputy chief of staff, who also worked for Reagan and Bush 41. “There was much less time [under the second Bush] to catch your breath during the day.” He recalls the constant juggling of issues—from the wars to Katrina—often all at the same time. “There’s only so much bandwidth in the organization,” he says.

Ok, article is read. That still doesn't explain why Newsweek felt the need to publish that article now when President Obama is in office. It's not like the demands of the office suddenly and significantly grew.

Just the problems. Notice they didn't make a big deal of the issue when he first entered office, just after he had time to screw things up more.

I thought Biden was taking a big part in running the country. Maybe a lot of the trouble lies there.

Vice President Biden was the best part of the 08 elections. He doesn't have as much exposure as I was hoping... I feel gypped.
