Massachusetts

Once again the voters of Massachusetts prove their stupidity. They bend over ever so slightly and tell the scumbags running this state "please be gentle." Well, its hard to be gentle when sticking a 12 inch pole in a 2 inch hole. Congrats massholes!

I have not met anybody that likes Deval Patrick. Who are these people?

Thanks! Wait, what?

And yes, I haven't met anyone who actually likes Deval either, although my wife voted for him because she works in the school system and the MTA said that Baker was a bad, bad man.

Re: Massachusetts

Brutal.

Tierney wasn't astute enough to be aware that his wife was laundering millions of dollars in illegal gambling profits for her brother the last few years, but he's sharp enough to be voted back into office?

I thought we were turning a corner and becoming more like the rest of the country, with a modicum of common sense---not so, apparently.

At least you guys didn't elect Rick Scott.

I mean, Florida is SUPPOSED to be fucking stupid, but this is a new low... even for us...

Everyone I knew at the time (1988) voted for Mike Dukakis. People tend to not realize how homogeneous their associates are, especially those with whom they discuss things like politics.

Wow, you guys must have been big Dukakis fans if you were still writing him in in '92.

Speak for yourself! It's quite different around here if you're conservative.

You have to speak about issues in hushed voices with like-thinking individuals and they're hard to find. My wife is good friends with a famous movie director's wife. They were both thrilled to find someone else they could express their opinions to. You can imagine how hard it is for a director's wife to have conservative opinions. You really can get ostracized around here for not being strongly liberal.

At least the alcohol tax is gone. The dems up here may love their taxes but they love their alcohol more

On the other hand, the handful of Americans that still read will have a blast reading all those Carl Hiassan books that will be generated from his new well of material.

It does suck to live in Florida, though.
