Tomorrow, I'm going to vote for candidates based on Scrabble word scores

In any given race, I'm going to vote for whichever candidate's name would earn me more points in a game of scrabble.

Crazy, but at least I voted, right? Nothing could be worse than not voting. Voting for nonsensical reasons is still better than not voting at all.

Joke's on you: proper nouns aren't allowed in Scrabble!

I noticed there was a libertarian candidate for insurance comissioner on the ballot. Isn't it a bit hypocritical to run for an office that you don't believe should even exist?

Too bad Zbigniew Brzezinski isn't running for anything.

This would take a lot more thought than the average voter gives it.

I'm voting for the sexiest ones. We need a good looking governing body.

Not really. Few consonants, and other than the H, all very low scoring ones.

Re: Tomorrow, I'm going to vote for candidates based on Scrabble word scores

I came out of the voting booth this morning, and I went up to the Democratic Committee person who was manning their table just outside the election place and said "I'm confused - I didn't see Christine O'Donnell on the ballot. I wanted to vote for her." (I live in PA). The look on her face was priceless, and will keep me amused for the entire day.

I voted for Sestak for the Senate and Trivedi for the House.

Not really. I expect him, if he wins (bwahahahahahahahahaha, oh the comedy) to come in around noon, play around on Facebook for a couple hours, then go home.

Correction: It's not libertarian - it's Libertarian.

A couple years ago...really can't remember when or many specifics, but I swear there was a candidate here in Minnesota that was running for some position and his only platform was that the position he was running for wasn't needed and if he got elected he promised not to take a salary and get rid of that particular position.

I don't remember how everything turned out though.

Re: Tomorrow, I'm going to vote for candidates based on Scrabble word scores

An aside: A friend of mine just popped into my office to comment that he and I haven't discussed Italian politics in a long time (he's Roman.) But then he said that, today, US politics are more important. I told him, sure, but not much of anything will change because of this election.

I really believe that.
