Fox News claims that a conservative activist and her boyfriend were brutally beaten.

I don't know if Fox News is telling the truth or not.

But if this is true, then it's interesting that ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, and MSNBC have all ignored it.

New Orleans Cops Search for Assailants Who Attacked Jindal's Campaign Aide

Police are seeking help to track down the assailants who attacked a campaign aide to Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and her boyfriend after they left a GOP fundraiser in New Orleans, leaving her with a broken leg and him with a fractured jaw, broken nose and a black eye.

The attack occurred last Friday after Jindal's chief campaign fundraiser, Allee Bautsch, 25, left a fundraiser for the Louisiana Republican Party at a local restaurant.

Assailants knocked down Bautsch and stomped her repeatedly, breaking her leg in five places.

Bautsch's mother told Fox News on Friday that her daughter was not robbed, but her boyfriend was "after she was screaming on the ground."

The suspects stole Bautsch's purse and ran off, Bautsch's mother said.

Despite protesters being seen outside of the fundraiser, Jindal's office dismissed reports that the attack was politically motivated.

"We are not aware of any evidence the individuals involved in the altercation were protesters," the statement read.

Bautsch's mother told Fox News on Friday that her daughter and her boyfriend were met with derogatory comments before they were attacked as they walked into a dark area in the French Quarter. Bautsch's mother declined to specify the comments.

"I don't want to impede the police investigation so I don't want to get into the political ramifications," she said. "But things were said to my daughter and her boyfriend. Everything was about money."

When asked whether reports that political insults were hurled at the couple were accurate, Bautsch's mother said, "This is not a Republican or Democrat problem. This is a problem that a young girl and her boyfriend were attacked. And the story hasn't really come out and I want to make sure these guys are found."

Bautsch's mother said her daughter described the suspects as "average looking kids."

"They were not kids that you would necessarily think would harm you," she said. "But I'm not going to say they looked like Republicans or Democrats."

Bautsch's mother said her daughter has a rod that goes down the entire center of her leg with screws in her ankles.

"For a mother, it's a lot," she said. "The recovery is enormous. She has five different scars that's she'll have from this. This isn't just something that, you know, she was pushed down on the ground or she fell. That's not the case. They were stomping her."

The story's been out since it happened. It's not a made up story.

It's only news worthy because of who was involved. People getting beat up and robbed in NO is nothing new.

It would be more newsworthy if it were shown that the attack was politically motivated.

Yes, that's true.

We need to find these guys right now and see if they are on the mailing list for Organizing for America or have visited an ACORN office in the past 2 years.

No doubt ObamaHackers™ have already removed them from the list.

Crime? In New Orleans? I've never heard of such a thing...

More than likely some guys saw a couple walking out of a fundraiser, dressed up nicely, and saw easy money.

Probably the same hoodlums that have been sneaking into that abandoned amusement park and taking pictures of The Joker and the creepy old bald man.

Police released a description of one suspect, saying he was in his 20s, looked "dirty," and wore his hair in an auburn-colored ponytail. The man was 6 feet, 1 inch tall with a thin build, police said. He wore a light-colored T-shirt and dark pants.

I knew it. A fucking hippie.

It's obvious that the hateful rhetoric from Democrats led to this brutal assault on GOP officials. ;)

Here's video of the protest before the attack:

I can imagine the coverage this story would receive if that had been a tea party protest and Dem officials were later attacked.

I am dissapointed. They should have been packing and swiftly blown the attackers away......

Boy, that flew right over your head. -ohbfrank-

If it involved a tea party protest with Dem officials, the mainstream media wouldn't care that "THE ATTACKS....say it with me, now.....WERE....NOT.....POLITICAL..." They'd jump through hoops to make a connection.

Which, using conspiracy theory logic, makes this attack politically motivated.

Has the definition of "robbed" changed?

But, your hypothetical scenario built on faulty, disprovable logic constructed solely to validate your own political views is not proof of media bias.

It's not proof, but it's something to consider. Try it.

I did consider it, and it's stupid.
