Well shit, I guess you showed me. Since you voted more often than I have, and all.

I've demonstrated you don't know what in the hell you're talking about.

That ought to be sufficient.

People did the 'blame Clinton' thing for a lot of the Bush presidency though so I suspect we are going to be stuck w/ it for awhile.

I'm sure you know more about politics than I do, since you're older and all.

I bet it just chaps your ass to know that Obama will be in office for nearly three more years.

When he's re-elected, will you move out of the country?

If it's the economy you're talking about - do you seriously believe a president is responsible for a good economy or a bad economy?

If it's Iraq - Obama - Bush II.

Blame Clinton for what? Seriously, I am curious.

Sentence one: Yes, I do.

Sentence two: No

Sentence three: It's such a silly question, that I want glorify it with a response.

Assuming it was "broken" in the first place the way Obama is going about it isn't the right approach IMHO. Employment should be the main thing they are concentrating on and what have they done so far... a stimulus bill that seems to have had very little effect, a health care bill that no one is quite sure what is in it so people aren't going to be too keen on hiring yet, a student loan takeover that'll drive some companies out of business, potentially an "energy" bill that is just going to do wonders for the economy -ohbfrank-

Well I guess I just thought the numbers pointing out the economy was better under Democratic presidents than it was under Republican presidents were a reason.

My bad.

Obama sucks. Go, go GOP!

When you're shown to be in error - always deflect. It sometimes (and for some people) works.

Preach on. Your wisdom alone, and constant barrage of indisputable facts has led me to believe that the Republican party is the way to go.

When I make a mistake I'll remember that.

If you've been here awhile then you should have known a lot of people were blaming Clinton for things (especially related to security/defense matters) during the Bush years. Just like calls for impeachment, blaming the last president is going to become a new past time.

Please explain what responsibility a president has over the economy and we'll tell you if it's a mistake ;)

I don't normally venture into the politics forum. However, I am trying to learn more about the whole process. 90% of my friends are Republicans/Obama haters that gloat everytime something goes right for them (Scott Brown, elections in NY, VA, etc) and bitch and moan when something doesn't.

You are right though. No matter what, Republicans will blame the Democrats and vice versa.

Unless you're people like classicman, who claim they're not Republican. They're independent, or Libertarian, etc.
