My point stands. They set up a government that didn't sponsor any one religion over another. So who cares if they were Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, deist, atheist, Jewish, or Satanist?

I get into heated debates with fellow Christians when they say "We were founded as a Christian Nation". I tell them that our Founding Fathers may have been Christians but they did not want a Theocracy.
Their eyebrows raise when I inform them that Alcohol, Gambling and Prostitution were all legal and pretty much unregulated at our founding and it wasn't till much later that they were regulated.

And it doesn't cross anyone's mind that the reason they didn't want a repressive theocracy that denied individual freedoms is BECAUSE they were Christian?

I knew what your post was going to say before I even read it. And I won't bother to discuss it, because you'll ignore every point against Christianity, all the whole continuing to claim that the only way people can ever be decent is to embrace Christian values. You have nothing new to show me, Ky-Fi.
And besides, even if you were correct, we can embrace the result of their decisions without necessarily embracing the cause.
