Hadn't thought about it. I was only speaking to how much "the other side" hated each of them, and where they got to, or could get to.

I thought it was impossible for Clinton to ever have a shot at the nominee. It was hers for the taking. As a result, I think it is silly to say that Palin is too unpopular to ever achieve something similar because that is exactly what people said about Clinton.

That's not a strong opinion. Strip away the rehtorical flourishes and all it says is that Palin has critics, some of whom may have an accurate self-image and some of whom may not.

Much as I am loathe to say anything nice about Hilary Clinton, I will have to admit that she took the opportunity of winning a Senate seat from NY and made the most of it. By most accounts she was a hard-working, diligent, and deferential legislator, something I would not have expected.

And Obama has educational chops and was the president of Harvard Law Review. Their gap in intellectual ability is glaring.

No, not really, when the subject of discussion is how polarizing a figure a person is, not how qualified they are for a given position.

Possibly. But I'd at least prefer to have someone that knows the difference between North and South Korea and is cognizant of the fact that Saddam Hussein was not behind 911. Palin's comical lack of knowledge would be FAR more terrifying and to suggest she'd be ready for the Presidency (!) is lunacy. But I respect your correlation of the two's abilities even if way off base.

When Palin doesn't know something, she tries to bluff her way through & sounds idiotic.

When Obama doesn't know something, he says, "That's above my pay grade" and sounds like a genius.

I wasn't talking about intellectual. I specifically said executive experience.
