Part of CSPAN's morning call in program is focusing on election returns. Theoretically the major networks are going to try to keep from speculating and releasing the exit poll results until 5 (eastern) or so. We'll see if that actually happens though...

One piece of advice: don't put any stock in exit polling discussed today by the media.

I haven't heard exit polls discussed since 2000.

They were in '04. I won't forget the reports of Kerry being significantly ahead in exit polling (by late afternoon) in Virginia.

The most important results to me will be the Maryland Slots Prop. Question, the overall drive for 60, and whether certain douchebag incumbent Senators and Congressmen are shown the door: Senators Stevens, Dole, and Chambliss, and Rep. Souder specifically.

You want the Dems to get a fillibuster proof in the Senate? or do you think they won't win enough of the other races?

That and I hope that Maryland going to slots/video poker ups the stakes so WV goes to table games in response. Charles Town is only an hour away.

Are you talking to me? Of course I don't want to see that. But at the same time I love seeing incumbent douchebags shown the door. In the prediction thread, I predicted a 7-seat pickup.

Obama running well so far in IN. The longer that happens, even if he doesn't win, is a great sign for Obama.

CNN exit polls show a big Obama win in VA if they hold up. Wouldn't that pretty much ice this?

Can someone explain how they can call states with less than 51% of votes counted. Is this just assuming traditionally Dem/Rep areas vote that way?

I mean they call states with only 10% reporting?
