Typical GOP tactic to label something "new and improved" when it's just more of the same old thing.

Those are some "negatives."

Do you think that perhaps that "appearance" is because the few issues that have been brought to light have been under a microscope in grand fashion over a very short period of time (given how new she is to the spotlight)? Do you really feel that the list of issues "against" Obama is shorter and less founded?

Do you feel that you are giving Palin a fair chance?

I'm trying to give her a fair chance, but the more I find out about her, the less I like her. There's a lot coming out about her hiring practices -- she apparently gives jobs out to her friends regardless of qualifications -- and firing practices -- Troopergate, her actions when she first became mayor of Wasilla -- that bother me.

Should we start adding roman numerals so that we can differentiate which Troopergate is which?

"You're doing a great job, Brownie!"

Change, yep that's what McCain/Palin represents.

Let's stop these petty attacks on this woman NOW.

Perhaps that has something to do with where you are looking for your information about her. You're focusing on the negative.

Did you know, for instance:

*First-ever female governor of Alaska
*She is Christian and pro-life, but also a supporter of birth control: she's a member of Feminists For Life (FFL), an anti-abortion, pro-contraception organization.
*Scored the final point — a free-throw — of the 1982 state championship game that Wasilla won against Anchorage
*Degree in journalism
*Married her highschool sweetheart
*A working mom!
*As mayor of Wasilla, she cut her own salary, and was appointed ethics commissioner of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission.
*Palin was elected governor after campaigning as a reformer, and shortly after taking office, she passed a sweeping ethics reform bill regulating lobbyist activities and forcing more disclosure from lawmakers.
*She smoked pot. "I can't claim a Bill Clinton and say that I never inhaled," she said.
*Palin has enjoyed approval ratings in Alaska as high as 90%. These are the people for whom Palin isn't 4 weeks old. They know her and have been watching.

See, I'll bet you're liking her more already.

How do Obama's personal approval ratings (by the people that elected him) compare to Palin's? That's actually a stat I haven't come across yet that would be interesting to see. I think Obama has been pretty high at times... 70's?

I now have a warm feeling in my tummy. Of course, it could be due to the hot tea I just drank.

Of course now (after she was able to smoke it legally under Alaska law) she thinks it ought to be criminalized:

As mayor of Wasilla in 2000, Palin championed a city council resolution opposing a ballot initiative that would have legalized marijuana for adults. Last March her administration asked the Alaska Supreme Court to reverse its 1975 decision shielding private marijuana use, arguing that the drug is more dangerous than it used to be.

Do any of the 4 favor any measure of decriminalization of pot? I would assume not, but perhaps Obama has said something about going after real criminals.

No. None of them do. If anything, Biden is the worst of the lot on the matter.
