Speaking of Reagan, there was an article in the paper the other day about how he may not win the Republican nomination if he were running today:
  • Signed abortion-rights legislation
  • Signed illegal immigrant amnesty immigration
  • Increased taxes (albeit after a massive tax cut)
  • Participated in talks with the enemy

There were others, but I can't find the article online for some reason.

Ron Paul to Appear on 'The View'
Here is the video of the appearance:

Not surprisingly, half the interview is about abortion.

I just realized that the two internet darlings, of this campaign and 2004, are both doctors. Maybe House should run in 2012.

I don't even need to watch to know that he won't score points with The View's viewership if that was the main topic.

My only response to The View is to quote President Bartlett, when laid up sick and forced to watch daytime TV - "Tell me: These people don't vote, do they?"

I got a question.

Since everyone was/is so concerned about Bill Clinton's & Bush's military service, what is Hillary's military record? Has she served? If not, according to many liberals, she should not be running for office.

Who are the "many liberals" who have stated that somebody who hasn't served shouldn't be running in the 2008 election?

Link?

BTW, many liberals I know have a lot of problems with Senator Clinton. Her lack of a military record is certainly not one of them.

Clinton and Bush were also both eligible for the draft when we were fighting a long and unpopular war for which many people used family and money to avoid serving.

Word on the street is that during his visit to NYC for his appearance on The View, Paul will also be interviewed by John Stossel for 20/20.

That's going from one extreme to the other.

I'm sure our Ron Paul-detractors are fully confident that John Stossel will be conducting an intense hard-hitting "Give Me a Break" interview with Dr. No.

I wonder if John Stossel will try to kiss Dr. Paul, or restrain himself and just hold hands?

I ran into many of them on this very board! Funny how people's memories are so short!

Not even a couple years ago, everyone was saying how Bush shouldn't be elected because he doesn't have a "military record".

If there's many examples, go ahead and site a few using links. Three should suffice.

I don't believe you remember it correctly.

The probably said something to the effect - why is there this inherent belief by many that Republicans such as Bush make for better C-in-Cs (presumably because they are considered 'tougher' in some respect) when they never served in (and dodged) the military compared to someone who actually did serve in the military.

Calling someone a draft dodger is not the equivalent of say that the person is not fit to serve as president.
