It's interesting. The political derby site doesn't even list more than 3 candidates for the Dem race. I know that's the reality, but I still hope my guy is on the ballot when primary day comes around.

Don't worry. Representative Rhymes With Spinach is in it for the long haul.

Who's your guy?

I thought you were voting Repub in 2008. I thought your fellow moderators had convinced you.

I haven't voted for a Republican since I voted for Giuliani for mayor. He was ok in my book because he hung out with his gay friends and dressed in drag every once in a while. Oh also he's a Yankees fan.

You know Biden is my guy. I need a Dem to win so at least he becomes Sec of State. It would be nice to see the State Dept. engage in actual deplomacy for once.

Biden has said, hasn't he, that if he doesn't finish in the top 3 Iowa his campaign has ended.

I just saw a Republican Iowa poll on MSNBC. It showed that guy who has run such a lousy campaign (Fred Thompson) is now second in Iowa.

I couldn't hear what polling organization did the poll.

Wasn't he always polling 2nd in Iowa behind Romney when polls included his name as a potential candidate?

Thompson polling second in Iowa is a recent phenomenon:

Also, it's interesting that Giuliani seems to be dropping to fourth behind Huckabee.

I never realized that 9/11 was in 2nd in Iowa polling until recently.

"This country even had its own Jesus"

I'm guessing we'll hear a lot more of these jokes if he gets the nomination

FWIW, I've seen a ton of Ron Paul bumper stickers in my area (DC) as well as in Maryland and Philly. Probably more for him than everyone else combined. I doubt that means anything, but it is nice to see.

I've seen some too. It is nice to see except that bumper stickers are eyesores.

Plus as an added bonus, his presence certainly annoys c-man.

I've seen "Ron Paul Revolution" banners hung from a few different overpasses in Atlanta. They usually aren't there the next day. Looks like some fanboy is going around trying to annoy the DOT

Does winning NH even matter in the Rep primary? '96 and '00 seems to indicate it doesnt

It just goes to show you that an anti-war Republican could win this thing. Too bad the only one is Paul who is ignored by the party.

Paul's tenacity is certainly interested, but the fact that Gulliani polls so well despite no real substance at all is worrisome.

An interesting note about Joe Biden - he owes me uncle money.

He's a career Senator. I'm not surprised.

I think a proven anti-war Republican could win a general election. They could never win the GOP nomination. Why do you think that all the top-tier guys try to sound like Rambo (well, except for McCain on torture).

There's a very good reason(s) that Paul is ignored by his party.

Even though the war is a major issue - it's far from being the only only issue that confronts this country. You can argue that long term, it's not the most important issue.
