Morris: Hillary will be ‘worst president we’ve ever seen’
Dick Morris is no fan of Sen. Hillary Clinton, having spent much of the past decade writing and speaking out against her. And he took his always-quotable opinions to the offices of Americans for Tax Reform Wednesday at a breakfast sponsored by The American Spectator.

Dick’s greatest hits:

» Although Barack Obama is an “exciting phenomenon,” he is the equivalent of “political stem cells: You can make him into any tissue you want.”

» “It is in the national interest that, if there is a Democratic president, that it not be Hillary.”

» “The Republican field is like the New York Yankees: They’ve got a pitching rotation of really great names who are 45 years old and who probably won Cy Young Awards when they were younger. But they’ll have a sore arm by the World Series and will end up on the [disabled list]. Republicans need to look to the minor leagues.”

» He laid out the political future: “Hillary will be the next president, and she’ll be the worst president we’ve ever seen.” No matter what happens, the situation in Iraq will “assure that the GOP gets massacred in 2008 congressional elections.” In 2010, the Republicans will take back the Congress — “Hillary will give Republicans the same gift she gave them in 1994” — and they’ll win the presidency in 2012, but thanks to demographic shifts favoring Republicans (namely the rising Hispanic and African-American populations), “that will be the last Republican president we’ll ever see.”

Dick Morris is a nut who is obsessed with the Clintons.

At this point, I don't think Clinton even wins the nomination -- she's trying too hard to triangulate Iraq, and that wil turn off the Democratic primary voter.

i don't get the last part

demographics favoring reps and no more rep presidents

pretty dumb since the irish, italians and eastern european immigrants were also heavy democrats back in the early 1900's when they were poor and as they amassed wealth through generations we still had republican presidents over the last 100 years

Dick Morris (and Sean Hannity) predicted the Republicans would retain control of the House & the Senate in 2006.

I think he is right that she would be the worst ever, but I don't think she can win.

Dick Morris used to have credibility. Then he wrote two back to back books obsessing over Hillary Clinton. Oh and the toe-sucking revelation didn't help.

He didn't have credibility with one party, now he does. He did have credibility with another party, now he doesn't. That's how it goes.

You mean the GOP finds a adulterous toe-sucker credible?

BTW, the only person in the GOP that does find him credible is Sean Hannity. And all of Hannity's followers.

Dick Morris helped save Bill Clinton's presidency.

I think he is right that she would be the worst ever, but I don't think she can win.
I find it difficult to believe that she could be any worse than what we've got now - the worst Republican president since U.S. Grant.

That may be true, but I think there's just a hint of personal bias with Dick when it comes to the Clintons.

There's no doubt about that. But he did give Clinton the right advice immediately after the Lewinsky matter became public - 'lie like a dog.'

He also knows the Clintons better than just about anybody. Which is reason alone to listen to what he says and consider it. But yes, he has extreme bias.

You can't possibly believe those types of things would make him lose credibility from Democrats, can you? It's just freedom, baby, yeah! <img src=http://w3.gorge.net/kvrdave/hippie.gif>

Haven't watched his show, but based on book deals, and other shows he has been on, I don't think that statement is correct.

Why would one consider his statements when he hates them so much? Why does he hate them? Because Bill kicked his ass and Hillary had to pull him off?

Sure, I think Morris' books sell moderately to Clinton haters. Thats to be expected.

As for TV, I think he's only on -gasp- Fox.

It was probably never true. He was a hired political hand and nothing more.

The worst President after Bush would be Kerry or McCain--I'm still debating which one is worse than the other.

I'd rather vote for Hillary. Besides, I would find it rather amazing we had a woman as President. Who cares if she screws up in office.

But he's entirely right about he future of the republican party as Latinos take over the natives. It will be the most dramatic change in America since the first Protestants arrived from England many centuries ago. Rather than conservatives versus liberals, the contest will be between radicals leftists like Chavez and socialists like Bachelet. The economic and legal institutions will be thoroughly transformed in the quest for "social justice", and the United States will lose its competitiveness and capacity to innovate.

By then Asia will have matured and take over the task of civilization while the west withers away.
That's what amazes me about open borders Republicans like Bush and McCain. They're sealing the fate of the Republican party. Welcome to the Balkanization of America.
