The Bush White House Shake-Up - Andy Card resigns

1. Cheney will resign and become the new Secretary of Defense. He might have a little problem being confirmed.

2. Rice will become the new Vice President. The Senate will easily confirm her.

3. Karl Rove will become the new Republican National Chairman.

4. The current national chairman (I can't remember his name - starts with a 'm') will be the new WH communications director.

5. Senator Joe Lieberman will become the new Secretary of State. His senate confirmation will be a snap.

So you agree that Rice will 'move-up' to the VP job?

You can't believe she would be let go by this administration.

My predictions:

1. Fred Barnes's current physician will have his license revoked.

2. Fred Barnes's new physician will change Fred's prescriptions to something that doesn't cause delusions.

You can never tell about Fred.

He's got an in with WH.

He got an interview with Bush when others couldn't.

Now if only Rudi Giuliani would become commissioner of baseball, I'd be a happy man.

From what I hear, Rice wants out. Don't know about the other possibilities though.

It's from today's WSJ, Mr. Barnes, the same guy who wrote "Rebel in Chief" wrote the article. In addition to the above, I believe Mr. Barnes also said:

- Al Hubbard would replace Andy Card as Chief of Staff
- and to replace Mr. Hubbard as WH economic adivisor, Kevin Hassett from the American Enterprise Institute would be pulled in.
- Then Ambassador to Iraq, Zalmay Khalilzad, would replace Stephen Haddett as National Security Advisor (I can hear it now: (OMG!! An Arab! NOOOOO!!!) after an permanent government is established.

and that's more or less it.

i seem to remember reading some op-ed piece in a traditionally liberal publication like The New York Times that made those exact predictions. it would be curious for a Fox News contributor to quote a NYT columnist...

As long as Andy Card and McClellan are gone, I don't care about anyone else. Those 2 losers should have been gone a loooooong time ago.

But google can't be wrong.

Yes, it probably is an insult as McLaughlin comes across as a self obsessed buffoon.

I see. Blame the COS & Press Secretary for all the problems the administration has. You Repubs are great at finding fall guys, aren't you?

I have hated Andy Card since it was touted he's the one who suggested Miers. You got a problem with that c-man?

And McClellan SUCKS at press conferences. He's not a fall guy for anything - he SUCKS. Period.

Mehlman has no vision.
