I can't understand a word they are saying. All I see are a bunch of guys jumping up and down, taunting a few tanks. This goes on for like 5mins, then apparently, some of the soldiers fire into the crowd--not sure if this was bullets or tear gas or something else, but it didn't sound like bullet rounds.

Now, at this point, I don't see anyone hurt, but then some footage of some guys (about 3 or 4) in a truck which are injured. I still can't tell if it was gunshots or just chaotic mayhem which caused the injuries.

Anyway, the first video doesn't help much in understanding what's going on. The video is also 63MB and not 93MB as indicated when you download it. I haven't downloaded the second one yet, so maybe that will be more enlightening.

Well after looking at a white screen for 5 min while the page was loading I clicked off. Does their server have a 56k connection?

Well of course not. Most people in the US don't care about what the French are doing. Most think France is irrelevant, I've seen it said many times on this forum in fact. You better believe that the media in France is making a big deal out of this though. I get about half a dozen French news magazines at work, and the Ivory Coast thing is on the front of every one.

At least they asked the UN for permission to do this.

The second video is the one to watch, and it is 100MB. Some graphic footage, one of a woman (I assume) who's lying on the ground with no head--actually, there's something mushy there, but it's no head according to my interpretation.

No actual footage of soldiers shooting them per se, but if you're familiar with specific wounds, there are alot of shots of victims with certain wounds.

Definitely a bad situation.
