Schwarzenegger Calls Calif. Dem Leadership 'Losers'...

It's ok Arnold, we know what you meant ...
http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=stor...egger_losers_2

---

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Two days after the Democrats took at drubbing at the polls across the country, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (news - web sites) referred to leaders of the state's majority party as "losers."

At a Thursday news conference, the Republican governor who branded Democrats "girlie men" during a budget fight last year was asked whether he would listen to tax-increase proposals from Senate President Pro Tem Don Perata or other Democratic leaders.

"Why would I listen to losers?" Schwarzenegger asked. "Let's be honest."

As soon as he made that remark, however, he tried to suggest he was referring not to Democrats themselves, but to their tax increase proposals.

Schwarzenegger said that Democrats had "lost every single ballot in the Bay Area" and that "the big spenders wanted to go with increased taxes, many different taxes and fees and all kinds of things and lost all of that."

"And in Los Angeles it lost. People don't want to be taxed," he said. He added: "Why would we go and follow a losing formula? It doesn't make any sense."

Schwarzenegger spokeswoman Margita Thompson said the governor was talking about ballot measures in the Bay Area and in Los Angeles that lost at the polls Tuesday.

A spokesman for Perata declined to comment on the remark.

Taxes are bad. This is the only thing the Repubs and I see eye to eye on (although I don't think they care about how much us little guys pay, just their pals).

People don't want to pay more, they want to feel the money they already pay is being spent better.

He's done a good job as Gov, but I still wouldn't vote for him as president (unless the alternative was unthinkable)

What a jackass. I love how because he's famous, he can pretty much do whatever.

Molest lots of women?

Be a political figure and make fun of anyone you want in public?

Go Arnie.
Arnold for President!

Have you seen the county by county map? 75% of the state IS Red. Just like NY, you can't crack the urban areas though. Taxes actually provide a lot of infrastructure for those folks.

Visit a bunch of those counties some time. There aren't a lot of people in most of them. We've got a lot of desert out here ya know. Big red space doesn't mean lots and lots of red votes. Population matters.
