Washington State Governor still not decided

All close races

Going into Thursday the Governor of the State of Washington still hasn't been decided. Right now the only Republican I voted for is losing by about 15,000 votes. He was leading by about 600 the last time I looked. They're saying it could be weeks before it's decided, but I'm not sure anybody really cares.

I voted for Dino Rossi because he actually showed up to the televised debate, unlike Christine Gregoire and he said all the right things. The best arguement I've heard against him from the Democrat side is that he's lying. He may be, but he showed up to the debate

I believe something like 64% of the vote was absentee, which is huge.

Gregoire said one of her biggest goals was to reopen an aluminum plant near me. That actually made me vote against her. I know that no politician gives a rip about the east side of the Cascades. Dino is a former Realtor, but that didn't do much for me either. I forget who I voted for, but suspect it was the libertarian. I voted that way on anything I didn't really care much about. I am suprised he is even close, though.

Less than 6,000 votes seperating them now, so it's definitely still up in the air.

Christine GREGOIRE 1,183,521 49%
Dino ROSSI 1,177,929 48%
Ruth BENNETT 51,889 2%

Gregoire really made me mad this year... I hope Rossi wins this one. He was up last time I saw, so this is sad news.

Christine Gregoire is now ahead by 657 votes after being behind by 1900 over the weekend. There are an estimated 27,000 ballots left to count.

Gregoire was my least favorite candidate in this entire election. I hope the votes for Rossi come through.

The gap has narrowed to 324. They should just play Rock, Paper, Scissors and get it over with.

Looks like Gregoire has it in the bag; left-leaning King County, where she leads heavily, announced that another 10,000 absentee ballots had been "found."

Based on this new information, Rossi's team now believes that they will finish ~2,000 behind.

Finally we get to hear some Republican conspiracy theories!
If one of those ballots they found is mine it's a Rossi vote, but I'm still not entirely comfortable with that choice. They both make me nervous.

Gregoire's up by 164 right now.

This is actually why I voted for the Libertarian. Little did I know my vote actually mattered

She will spend too much money, and he would get nothing done. Hell of a choice. But I think we will end up with spending too much money.

Should be interesting to see if she can keep all her campaign promises (she made them at every stop), and how she will pay for things as simple as education. She wants to put a butt load in there, which works for me since the state has reworked formulas to reduce funding while claiming they haven't cut education.

Nobody likes unfunded mandates unless they are the ones making them.

It wasn't really my candidate....I just didn't like the two choices. If it comes down to one vote, I will feel bad. I could have made it a tie.

All counties have reported, and it's Rossi by 261 votes.

If the result holds, the Evergreen State will have its first GOP governor in 20 years.

Don't they now have an automatic recount, or is that over.

Could have been 262, Dino.....but I just didn't like you enough

See what happens when you don't show up to the debate, Christine?

...and act like a complete ***** when you're asked about it.

She must have thought she had this one in the bag. Who didn't?

Man, I won't be happy with either one winning, but I do suppose that Rossi Spumante is the lesser of the two evils.

I didn't know she missed a debate. They don't tell us anything over here.
