Kudos to the participants in here . . .

Hi everyone . . .

Upon hearing the results of the election this morning, my sense of morbid curiousity strong enough to drag me out from under the pile of work that has kept me away from DT for about 3 months, to come see what kind of mayham was going on as a result of Bush's re-election.

After scanning through a handful of threads, I wanted to congratulate everybody in here for being so realtively . . . dare I say it . . . calm and mature. When I last looked in on Otter (where the political stuff was still housed), things were pretty intense and, in some cases, vicious. Glad to see things have settled down a little.

Anyway . . . way to go guys! Now back to work for me. :( Maybe I'll see you guys again around the holidays when things have slowed down a little.

P.S. - You guys are all "ho-kicking". ;)

The Dan Rather stuff was fun.

It was pretty calm last night. I think 2000 made it easy for this to be better.

I think we're all just sedate from a lack of sleep. Also, some of the more vitriolic Kerry supporters have been absent for the past day.

No, seriously, it is quite nice to see everyone handle this in a calm manner. It's been great arguing with you guys for the past several months.

When it comes down to it, divided though we may be, DVD Talkers are some of the best people around. We had some rough patches leading up to this, but the end result was pretty positive. Hopefully the nation will have a similar reaction.

Agreed.

I hope that puppy gets archived.

That goofy bastard is to blame for me holding my eyes open with tape today :)
