Kerry Conceeds - AP reports

Just on MSNBC

CONFIRMED (as of 11:12 PM EST) report that Kerry has called Bush and conceeded.

Drudge says that Kerry tells President Bush he will concede White House race at 1 PM ET.

That's it, then. As I predicted: a close election, but decisive...certainly not as close as 2000. No fuss, no muss.

See you all in 2008!

Unconfirmed report that Kerry has called Bush and conceeded.
If true, then to Kerry. This was the professional and smart thing to do. The figures in Ohio do not add up to any realistic chance of victory, so it is time to repair the Democratic Party image with moderates. To continue to challenge in light of statistical evidence so skewed against him would leave a bad taste in the mouths of potential democratic-leaning moderates for future elections.

Dan Rather has just advised Kerry not to, as it is still just too close to call.

if by 'conceded' you mean 'shit his pants and passed out in tears' then I'd say he probably has conceded

The Bush=Hitler analogies really got the Democrats really far this election cycle. Keep'em up.

Did I miss something? What happened to provisional ballots from Ohio? I thought it was just about over, but not worth conceding.

Katie Couric should be in tears by now too. She looked like she was in mourning earlier.
